Abolishing slavery, the right way -
05-17-2019, 07:31 PM
The right way, Biblical way, ironically, the French way. They know how to put former slaves in place:
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

I think with hard work, financial planning, any so called 'slave' should be able to reimburse all interested parties for the 'carrying costs'.
Leviticus 25:44-46
44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
Ephesians 6:5
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Titus 2:9-10
9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

The French were especially fond of slaves starting in the early 16th century. They were used extensively in the French West Indies, Haiti, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana on their brutal sugar plantations. The French used four times as many slaves as were ever brought to America. The leisurely picking of cotton in the American South was a holiday compared to sugar plantations.
Don't ever let any French lecture you about the "morality" of slavery. The French were cathylicks and never read the Bible (KJV1611) or followed it concerning the treatment of slaves.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Abolish slavery? Isn't that a sin? After all, see people, especially dark people, beaten, whipped and forced to toil in the fields gets Jesus, err... aroused, doesn't it?

What are you, some sort of sicko? The idea that some sweat covered mandingo, muscles taught from pulling crops, clothes worn thread bare and tight fitting is not a image I like to think about.
I like to picture Jesus at my side, comforting me, drain the sin from my body with His Everlasting Love™.
