I believe I should start off my lovely introduction with a few simple facts about myself. No, I am not a Christian, in fact, I'm agnostic, because I'm not entirely sure what to believe, but I do understand that there must be a higher power. I am an openly gay college student, currently studying at a prestigious university in New York City.

Please do not ban me, I am only here to see the other side of the spectrum so to speak. Our personalities are polar opposites, I'm sure, but for some reason I'm intrigued by the forum.

Furthermore, please do not try to convert me to your interpretation of Christianity, and, in return, I will not openly tell you that your beliefs are wrong, as I was raised to be open and accepting of all people, regardless of who they are.

I will never accept Jesus, because all we know of him is what is written in a book. Were you aware that tales of the Greek gods were recorded long before the creation of the bible?

Why is Jesus suddenly the correct religious route? What justifies Christianity over Islam, Judaism, or even the old gods of Greece?

You realize that all of those religions are older than Christianity, yes?

What is your point? If I write a book about my day today and then bury it for 2,000 years will it be any less accurate 2,000 years from now?

It's not sudden. The Torah and Talmud prophesise of the coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour and I know that God doesn't lie. That's how I know Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour of the world. Deal with it.

You said that God inspired the bible and that God does not lie, but that could all be a lie. You weren't around 2,000 years ago, so how would you know if the book you rely upon so devoutly is actually fact and not fiction?

I appreciate your desire to reach out and seek acceptance from our Christian community. However, the Bible is quite clear on homers:

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it
is abomination.

I'm afraid that there is no wiggle room here that would allow me to accept you anywhere but lying face down in an unconsecrated graveyard.

In fact, great Christian thinkers like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson pointed out that AIDS is a curse, created by God, to kill homo sinners. Not only that, but they also believe that 9/11 was allowed by God to happen because America coddles sinners like you.

Here at Landover we rehabilitate homers. Once you have received therapy and are cured, plus you accept Jesus into you heart and have a personal relationship with God, then maybe I'll speak on your behalf to the rest of the congregation as they are filling their stoning buckets.

I am ex-gay, too. It's not hard to overcome. Satan sends out his demons to tempt us. If you're still gay, it's that God has given up on you. I cast out the demons in the name of Jesus through prayer, and I have been successful in converting many young men from the sin of homosexuality.

The tragedies that are befalling America now, from September 11 through the current financial crisis, are a result of YOU, Brooklyn. Homosexuals, and the success of the homosexual agenda to make this sinful behavior "acceptable" in the eyes of socieity, are causing God to turn away from America in His wrath. God will not protect us if we are a sinful country, and the hurricanes, the bank collapse, the terrorists, are all warning signs from God.

YOU, Brooklyn, are part of what is killing America. We need to get rid of gays, whores, thieves, drug users, etc. and return to the ways that invited the protection of God's that we enjoyed thoughout our history until liberals and hippies in the 1960s caused God to raise an eyebrow and to start to let us suffer a little.

I will agree not to convert you to Christianity if you don't want to be pushed. But why should we allow you to drag our country away from God and into Hell? Matthew Shepard got the treatment that is absolutely necessary if we are going to save our country. No one converted him, in the end, but the result was a positive one.

And if this country goes so far as to elect a homo-loving negro to the White House we might as well just give up.
