How do atheists cope with "heat death"? -
07-24-2012, 01:36 AM
We Christians know that eventually, God will destroy the planet and replace it with a new Heaven and a new Earth. We, of course, will continue to exist for all time with God and Jesus.
Atheists believe that the universe is slowly and inexorably spreading out and cooling off, and that eventually it will suffer "heat death". All planets will be dead, all stars will burn out, and nothing will live.
So, when Christians write books and make music and build things, we do it knowing that we will influence current and future generations who will carry our ideas into Heaven for eternity. Atheists know that everything they create, no matter how beautiful or profound, will eventually cease to exist. Even a book popular for thousands of years, like Plato's Republic, will someday be forgotten; even if a copy survives for billions of years, locked in the frozen core of a dead world, there will be none to read it. Ever.
So what encourages atheists to get out of bed in the morning? And why do they all seem to worry about "endangered feces" and "historic preservation"?
I don't get it. At all.

Amen Reverand. The lives of atheists are so empty and meaningless that it's no wonder so many of them become serial killers, drug users, homos and Democrats.
The Word of the Lord will last longer than the universe, if only they understood they would see real meaning in their lives.
Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
1st Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever.
1st Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

I suppose life is so meaningless and pointless for atheists that they can only dream of a so-called heat death. It must be the only thing they look forward to in life: the accelerating expansion of the universe over trillions of years, the accretion of dead stars into black holes, the evaporation of black holes over many more trillions of years into photons that embark into empty space never to reach the other retreating black holes because of the vastness of the inter-galactic void. It's pathetic

Neither do I, Reverend. Neither do I.
It's almost as if they are brainwashed into repeating certain phrases like, "What can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence," and "Too Stupid to Understand Science? Try Religion," and "People Who Don't Want Their Beliefs Laughed at Shouldn't Have Such Funny Beliefs."
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! You're correct. They are actually far less encouraged to get out of bed in the mornings, psychiatrists label it depression and big pharma hand out pills for the "condition".

The fundamental thing to remember is that everyone, deep down believes in God and it is only so that they can rape, murder and be gay that people profess to not believing in God.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

When i was atheist, in my lucid moments i'd dwell on that too. To imagine that every particle in my being will someday be traveling throughout the universe - blasted or baked off the earth, then carried through the expanding nothingness forever on an endless eternal journey throughout the cosmos. So there, i imagined a kind of immortality existed after all. However, it still sounded kinda boring and unthinking of course. Instead, nowadays, we can look forward to the endless praising of Jesus in heaven!

I think I have figured out how the atheists are trying to escape damnation and hoping to let there "culture" live forth. On this website you can see they are planning to build a giant space ship. http://www.buildtheenterprise.org. This is like their version of the ark of Noah. I don't know what they are really planning to with it but I am sure God will destroy it like the tower of Babylon. Take that atheists!!

Heat death; aka not being able to get it lit up, is probably why so many atheists of both genders grow beards and look at porn all day.
Atheists have to be the most sick and disgusting people ever. God creating Satan makes sense, but why did He chose to create something as pointless as an atheist is a mystery no mortal mind will ever understand.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Most atheists only drag themselves out of bed in the morning in order to do something, anything, to make Jesus cry. Aborting babies, anal sex, giving lazy people money, pedophilia, etc. etc. That's what they live for.
Sad.

I don't see how that would help.
Eventually, they would still die out due to heat death.
It all just seems so pointless and futile without God. No matter what "legacy" a person creates, it will eventually be lost or destroyed. A building on Earth will be incinerated; ideas will only survive while there are people to understand them.
I just don't understand how they find any meaning or happiness or purpose in life without God to tell them what to do.
Do they just ignore the obvious "end of the universe" ahead?
