Napoleon wasn't French. And he succeeded as far as he did because the French were in chaos after executing their ruling class. Napoleon was filling a void. The French accepted him because they are always willing to spread their legs for foreign leaders.

There was a "Simpsons" episode in which Homer was asked to choose his least favorite country, France or Italy. He chose France. The world conquest intent guy who asked him that question chuckled to himself and said, " No one ever chooses Italy."

Really, if you were to ask ANY person intent on world conquest which country they would wipe off the map as an example to the others, the answer would be France. And don't try to be funny and insist that it would be the USA. Even people who protest against us would rather live here than anywhere else. There was an SNL skit that proved it.

God does not see the world through the ever-changing geopolitical landscapes that man defines and redefines according to various acts of ruthless violence or, in the case of Belgium, convenient stupidity.

France, as we know it today, is in fact a country that has long embraced the importance of religion and scripture as witnessed by the countless Cathedrals and other displays of worldly respect for His Church, The Holy Roman Church.

One need to merely stroll the elegant avenues of Paris to witness the beauty and dedication of French efforts to erect and maintain both the incredible edifices of worship and their blessed, inspirational art within, to realise just how dedicated the Gauls are in their appreciation for all that God has given them through His Church.

Yes, the wine can be often inferior to Italian offerings and indeed the food is sometimes overly anxious in attempts to compete with Italian cuisine but in comparison to pre-fab steel shelters and deep-fried everything the French are miles (kilometers actually) ahead of back-water boondocks like most of America when it comes to what matters in life.

Until the day that anything in Iowa is taller than a grain Silo and more sophisticated than a "happy meal" you might want to give the French their due respect in the same way they have shown respect to God by embracing his Church and its humble customs.

My sources tell me that French women NEVER leave their homes without makeup-- which shows that they are hiding something.

They do, however, parade in public with dirty hair. The conclusion to be drawn from this is that as long as they layer their faces with whore cosmetics, they don't care if they actually get near clean, running water and soap.

The French don't even have decent peanut butter, for heavens' sake!

Their "laborers" go on strike at the drop of a beret. The people who do pretend to work get every absurd Catholic holiday off; even if they've never set foot in any kind of church.

The only decent thing to come out of France is American Country music. That may seem oxymormonic, but the reason most Country Western singers filter their voices up through their noses is the French influence on the early settlement of this country. Fortunately, we quickly kicked them off the continent before things got out of hand.

I, for one, am waiting on the day when we find an American substitution for the word, "saute".
