I don't often find myself agreeing with a Pentacostal on very much, and I am troubled that this young lady is working outside the home when she should be caring for her children, but I do think Burger King definitely needs to be boycotted for trying to make her dress in men's clothes:

Religious Teen Sues Burger King Over Uniform

A teen in Texas has filed a lawsuit against Burger King for religious discrimination.

Ashanti McShan claims that she was fired from her job after she showed up to work in a long skirt instead of black pants. McShan, a Pentacostal Christian, says that her religion forbids her to wear men’s clothing. McShan also said that when she applied for the job in August, 2010, she made it clear that she would not be wearing black pants to work. Burger King, at the time, allegedly told the 17-year-old that it wouldn’t be a problem.

But when McShan showed up to her orientation, the manager asked her to leave because she was not wearing the required uniform.

The lawsuit reads: ”The result of the foregoing practices has been to deprive Ashanti McShan of equal employment opportunities because of her religious beliefs and observances as a Christian Pentecostal.”

Attorney Meaghan Shepard, who is representing McShan, said that the case was pretty clean cut. According to Shepard, McShan’s request to wear a long skit instead of pants was reasonable and would not have hindered her abilities to work at Burger King in anyway.

Shepard said:

“The legal standard is ‘undue hardship,’ and in this instance it was a very simple request — to be able to wear a long black skirt and not black pants — and it was initially granted. And then she shows up at orientation, on time, and is then told by the manager to leave and that she couldn’t wear a skirt. She was responsible, tried to get in touch with someone higher in the franchise, and they never responded to her. In our eyes, it was so clear-cut. She’s a very sweet, articulate young lady who was just trying to work her senior year in high school.”

Burger King has not commented about the lawsuit.

Do you think this is religious discrimination?

Naturally, I am very much looking forward to having all our liberal brothers and sisters who boycotted Chik-Fil-A join us in our boycott of Burger King!

Surely they will join us, won't they? Because the idea of Burger King persecuting women and Christians the way they imagine Chik-Fil-A persecuted homosexuals is certainly something that the liberals will find unacceptable, isn't it?

Because if they didn't, that would make them hypocrites. God HATES hypocrites!

I think God may very well hate hypocrites more than He hates any other type of sinner.

Too bad they dont have Chick-Fil-A here in eskimoland, but since Burger King is trying to force a (false) Christian woman to be a transvestite i will have to boycott them, the Bible is very clear about this, God hates transvestites!

Guess i'll have to eat at Max instead, the only decent food they have here in the frozen north, of course not anything compared to American quality like Chick-Fil-A, but anything is better than dried polar bear meat and fermented whale penises

It is tiresome to see Christians persecuted.

They just want to express their love for Jesus in public, and they are shut down by atheists and liberals who want them to be more discrete about it. The Constitution allows Christians to do whatever they want! But no. Liberals want to take away their civil rights.

I support allowing this young woman to wear whatever she wants whenever she wants. Why should a corporation be allowed to maintain a consistent look and image when there are religious beliefs at stake??!! Corporations are just legal fictions anyway, a concept created by humans. Why should anybody pay attention to that?

I commend the whore for wanting to work in a kitchen, but she should be at home producing offspring.

As for Burger King, they are persecuting Christians, not supporting Christian values.

I Googled that fellow's name, and the number one result I got was a page informing me that, according to popular belief, Adolph Hitler's last name was originally Schicklgruber.

Why, I'm almost tempted to think he's trying to cleverly imply that dear Pastor Zeker is a Nazi!

I certainly hope I'm wrong about this, but I gotta say I wouldn't put anything past the people who come here to attack our beliefs.
