Hi from a Hindudu -
12-20-2019, 04:35 AM
Hey everyone, although I’m not a Christian, I grew up learning and singing carols and learning stories of Jesus, especially around Christmas time. We even went and did a lot of charitable work around this time. Always grew up learning that Christianity is the religion of love.
The country right now is very divided, the left and the right don’t see a common ground, even though I believe it’s there. The reason I’m joining this forum is so that I can understand views of people who have a different background than I do (diverse big city), and hopefully I can share my views. I would very much like us to be more united as a country.
My fav bible quote:
"For I know the plans I have for you ... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Cheers!

Oh, and I used to go to the nearby (I think catholic?) church with my ex-gf, but I unfortunately stopped going after we split up. The music was beautiful and the entire atmosphere was peaceful.

Dear Mr. Prior: To you I would like to extend a warm We are pleased that you have found , in our blessed corner of the interwebs.
It is noted that you are of the Hindu faith, if it can be called that. One thing that you will learn rather quickly here at is that we have many devout servants of the within our church. I should also inform you that this is not a debating society. You will find yourself being told the truth, as given by Almighty through . In other words, do not be surprised to learn that we are right, and that we have no time for views that are contrary to what is taught by .
As for being Hindu, goodness, is that not the religion that is used by those annoying, cymbals-clattering Hare Krishna people? And, I am aware that the Hindu people worship snakes (including cobras) as gods, which shows how wrong your religion is. Please do not deny this -- it is in the video clip that is attached. Clearly, Mr. Prior, you are now in the right place and it is my hope and prayer that your association with that false religion will cease.

Well, breaking up your Cathyolick girlfriend and leaving her church was the correct thing to do. It seems that you have some sort of fascination and attraction with worshiping false gods. I must warn you of the 's rule about such things.
Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
We look forward to getting to you know you in true worship of the One , and : Almighty.

Thank you Isabella, for the warm welcome! And yes absolutely, I’m not hear to debate, only hear to exchange ideas. I’m not here to convince, I’ve learnt the hard way that the first to convince someone is to stop trying to convince them.

The Hare Krishna people are a cult, and are not representative of Hindu religion. I don’t know anyone who actually likes them, haha. They don’t do much other than blocking the subways unfortunately.
And the cobra video you linked to, my goodness, it does not look like they are worshipping them, looks like they are deliberately agonizing them. The poor cobras. Although I do admit, some Hindus do worship cobras because one the deities is closely related. I don’t though, I find it silly. So I can agree with your sentiment on that. It’s about as silly as Christians who pay fortunes to get pieces of the “wood” where Christ was crucified.
I’m from the so called “Brahmin” caste, which is a caste that values educational, spiritual and religious growth above all. I spend more time meditating, yoga and reading scriptures than any of the other weird stuff. I’m sure you would have heard of several famous Brahmins, even if you don’t know they were that. We are the upper echelon in the Hindu society, and in many cases the world society.

I also believe in one God, and that God is just referred to as different names by different people. But it’s just one, there are no others.
But what’s with the animosity against Catholics, they also worship Christ as the son of god, like you folks. They also rape children, which makes them terrible people though, I suppose!
Anyways, thanks again for the welcome Isabella, looking forward to join you folks in constructive discussion.
With love!

Welcome Hindu person. We are friendly here and willing to overlook obvious deformities, mental abnormalities and sometimes even the worship of false gods if it helps to bring a soul to Christ. Though you are currently on the road to Hell, we here are anxious to give you the good news that Jesus has come by earlier and died for your sins, that you may one day find forgiveness and go on up to Heaven when your work here on Earth is finished.
We look forward to showing you the way to Jesus and everlasting life with the Lord and Jesus up yonder in Heaven. We sincerely pray that you will be saved from the darkness of Hinduism and thus spared the searing fires of perdition. I suggest you get started by reading the Bible which is the word of God. Take care to read only the King James Version as it is the only unchanged and unedited source for God's directions to us on Earth.
I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you and turn you from your current path which is the road to Hell.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

It sounds to me dear like you worship a god that is naught more than a simple projection of your best possible self. That's a shame dear because Jesus was very clear that believing on Him - as revealed in the Holy Bible not your imagination - is required to be saved from an eternity of damnation (John 3:16;18).
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Wow, don't you sound entitled! So basically, you feel you're better than other people because you were born with a silver spoon? Sorry man, but I feel much more admiration for an untouchable than you. You should spend some time cleaning poop in other people's houses, that would teach you some respect for those who weren't as lucky as you, and were not born into wealth and privilege.

Which one of them do you consider to be the one? Wishnu? Shiva? Kali? (She's my personal favorite, such a badass!) Or the funky one with elephant head?

Is it true that you throw widows onto the funeral pyre of their husbands? *
Sounds suspiciously heathen as a ritual, but you got to admire the dedication.
*(I mean after the pyre has been lit - no cheating!)

Where's your shop? I'm about to start a marathon gaming session but I didn't pile up enough snacks.
Also, do you still sell Big Gulps, or did Bloomberg get elected and ban them? (I'm a bit out of touch with the news, marathon gaming does that sometimes).

Hello once again, Mr. Prior, and I do thank you for the response. Goodness, where to begin? Well, let's start with your statement that you are here not to debate. This is a most useful way to conduct yourself on . You see, here at , we follow, very carefully and closely, the blessed , which is the undisputed Word of the Living .
II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of , and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".
What that means is the final authority rests upon the Holy Scriptures, as contained within the . We do not entertain other water-down versions, nor do we consider "add-ons" to be of any merit. Consequently, we have no interest in any mumbo-jumbo that might originate from the false teachings of other religions.
Now, then, as for worshiping deadly cobras; yes, that video did look as though the snakes were being agonized. However, that was part of the worship procedure for those Hindu people. I had seen another video (many years ago) which I cannot locate at present time. It was entitled "The Cobra God", and it showed the Hindu men going into the fields (without shoes), and dragging cobras from their hiding places. The snakes were then taken to the temple, to be passed around to the townsfolk, and worshipped. Milk and rose petals were sprinkled over the heads of the snakes. Truly bizarre! I have, however, found a shorter clip of such a service, and you will see what I mean in the attached video. Worshiping any entity other than the One true of Heaven is worthy of death, according to the , and it will also result in eternal damnation. Why anybody would risk playing with a cobra, in the first place, is beyond me. Why anybody would risk doing something that will land them in the Lake of Fire is an even greater mystery.
Deuteronomy 13:7-11:
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
And, now, the Brahmins ... I am afraid I do not know of these people. Their social status is of no interest to me, unless they know the and , .
As for your statement about my animosity toward Cathyolicks, it is not that I have any animosity toward them. None at all! It's just that they are a bound group of false believers who worship Mary and who ignore the Holy Word of by cluttering up their churches with statues.
Exodus 20:4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
I could also mention their history of abusing children (and then lying and trying to cover up these crimes), etc., but I'm sure you have heard of this, since it is in the news constantly.
Thank you once again for your reply.
Sincerely,
Isabella W.

Welcome friend.
You know, a weak effort at a loose lipped oral gratification of Jesus will not get you into Heaven. You have to get down on your knees and pull God into you, swallowing your pride and have Him come into you with all the Grace and turgid fury He can release. Only after He has coated your soul with His Love™ can you be accepted to sit upon His RightHand.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Prior Convictions, why do you seek to ingratiate yourself by praising Christianity, yet refusing to adopt it as your religion?
Your flowery words are of no use to The King of All Kings, Jesus Christ.
Denounce your imaginary gods immediately, lest you find yourself burning in Hades.

The Hindaloo "gods" aren't imaginary, they're real demons masquerading as deities just like Baal (2 Kings 10:18) or Dagon (1 Samuel 5:2).
You'd have to be pretty stupid to worship these monsters. They're clearly beasts of Satan. I guess the one thing Hindoos have to look forward to after dying of dysentery/gang rape/sepsis/bubonic plague is meeting their false idols in Hell. They'll be in there along with Zeus, Poseidon, Thor, Amon Ra, Quetzalcoatl, Allah, Darwin, and all the rest of Satan's deceptive minions.
