God sends these maladies among even the righteous if there has been some behavior He does not approve of or as punishment for impure thoughts or even just because He feels like it. Your job now is to figure out where you went wrong, correct the problem and ask Jesus for forgiveness.
If you are truly concerned with repentance, you must refuse the pain killing agents you will be offered during the procedure. They interfere with God's plan for you and by accepting the suffering to come, as Jesus did, you will gain the Lord's favor.
You will also be given a prescription for an opiate pain relieving pill for later use. Do not use them for the reasons I have already outlined. Send them to me via Miss Cookie in the Landover Baptist Business Office and I will see that they are properly disposed of. Until then, I will place you on my prayer list.

Thank you so much for putting me on your prayer list and I'll figure out why this problem has struck me now and ask for forgiveness for anything I did since I've never never needed them removed before till this infliction upon me

Psalm 3:1-8 (A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.)
LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. David knew that God will focus on the tooth as well as the cheekbone when someone opposes His plan. And it's never a plan we could imagine for ourselves. After all, if it were, why would we need God?
Everything we need to know is available in The Bible and The Psalms are a very good place to start reading. After that, since God is just as well as loving, the historical record of The Judges helps to explain the gravity of rejecting Christ.

Just know that, as the dentist tells you to count backwards from one thousand, that these may be the last few seconds of your life and make sure you are right with Jesus. Eternity awaits and that could be a real long time. Where will you be spending it- Heaven with Jesus and the Godly folk, or down yonder in Hell with the Devil?

Oh, well, there you have it, dear Miss Alex. After ignoring the Love of for so many years, you are now being tested and punished by for rejecting the glorious gift of the shed of the on Calvary's cross. You may well have thought you could out-run the by refusing to accept wondrous Son, the , into your life. But, run as fast as you might, you cannot out-run Almighty!
However, that being the case, I shall still remember you in my prayers, specifically:
1) that you will cease from living your wretched sinful lifestyle;
2) that you will ask to forgive you from your abominable sins and to cleanse you with glorious ;
3) that you will accept the gift of 's salvation, or accept that you will burn in the unquenchable fires of for all of eternity (which is precisely what you deserve);
4) that you will have completed your Last Will & Testament, and that you will have left a very major portion of it (ideally, everything you own, and all monies associated with your estate) to our beloved 's aeroplane fund.
Now, then, I so hope that you will have taken care of all of this before you so hesitatingly climb onto that dentist's chair -- before he puts a nightmarish needle into your gums to quieten your pain receptors, and before he takes his great, big wrench and twists and yanks that cavity-infected tooth out of your mouth. And, when you see the sight of that tooth in the wrench, and the blood spilling from your mouth, it is my prayer that you will think of the tooth as a token of your sins, and of the precious that was spilled by the , and all because of your sins, Miss Alex. You will, undoubtedly, be reminded that this has been 's way of getting loving message through to you, Dear.
Psalm 139:7-10:
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
Do write back and let us know how it goes, Miss Alex. We do take an interest, you know, here at .

As a dentist, I pray for all of my patients, and I have a very low fatality rate among my wisdom tooth extractions. So I will certainly pray for you!
I just hope your dentist doesn't ask you to count backward from 100 by 7. That's nearly impossible!

Why do anesthesiologists get people to count backwards? I mean, it's hard enough to do at the best of times, so I can't imagine how hard it must be if you're not fully conscious. It just seems sadistic to give people a task which they are bound to fail.

Do not let a 'doctor' touch you. They all want to put implants in you so ner do wells can see what you are doing. A pair of pliers and the Bible to guide you is all you need.
A rotten tooth is God's way of telling you that you have a foul mouth. Heed Him.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

You can post anywhere you wish, dear, you just cannot create new threads outside of the introduction thread.
You sound tad bit melodramatic - millions of people have their wisdom teeth removed every year without whining for attention.
Should the prayer be: (1) for you to be treated by a dentist who knows what he's doing, (2) for the infection to disappear without any treatment, or (3) for the wisdom tooth just falling out on its own? Please note that options (2) and (3) would be cheaper for you, and this might be important in these times of economic uncertainty.

Anyone who uses anesthesiology is using science. Science spelled backwards is "ecneics." As a home educator I can tell you an ecneic was a devised used by Pagans to summon Satan himself to brainwash local children and turn them into literal sheep. These Pagans were called "Syantasts." Today's scientists use ecneics to brainwash anyone they can dupe into trusting them. Don't fall for it! Be a man and pull your own tooth! Jesus doesn't like girly-men! Be a man Jesus would be proud of! All you need is a pair of pliers, a good friend, and a fifth of bourbon.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! It has been brought to my attention that a plumber with an adequately sized wrench could be the option (4). Or, you could follow Sister Mary's DIY instructions. I'll pray that you'll live long enough to tell us all about how it went.

Does a tooth extraction count as surgery? I was talking to a doctor—one of the ones who fly themselves around to remote outposts such as Alaska, Canada, islands no-one ever heard of and so on—and I asked, "Do you do teeth, too?"
"Oh yes," he said. I said, "What's the difference between a dentist and a doctor then?" He said, "A dentist goes in through the tooth.." (such as with a drill) "..whereas a doctor would cut† into your gum, detach the root and push the tooth out that way."
I said, "Wouldn't you try to save the tooth?" "No," he said: "The tooth is the problem!" All of this would only arise in an emergency and represents an immediate solution. But yes, he'd assured me, doctors can treat teeth. Just not the way dentists do.
† A dentist who did this would be a dental surgeon rather than a common garden variety dentist.

Oh, now that is such excellent advice, dear Sister Basilissa. And, it's very comforting advice, too. It could well be that the dentist will have some difficulty manipulating whatever tool he normally uses, which could cause a slight bit of momentary discomfort. Those wisdom teeth are such stubborn critters, hiding way, way back in the far reaches of the mouth.
My neighbor from across the street is a dental surgeon. Dr. Kleinsbockner said that one of the biggest challenges he faces is putting patients at ease. But, the good doctor also said that once the anesthetic is administered, things go well from then on (usually). Oh, I'm sure there have been a few odd instances, here or there, where the needle did not take as well as it should have; but, generally, the patient does well.
Now, just to put Miss Alex's young mind at rest, I'm enclosing a photo of a needle that is very similar to the one that my neighbor showed to me. Miss Alex can rest assured that this will contain an ample amount of nerve-deadening agent -- which will make life much more tolerable for when the doctor uses his wrench later on!

Apparently not everyone's head has its nerves running along the same route going to the same teeth. Does your friend recommend asking for extra injections just to be sure?
