I am new, I happened upon this forum do to a google search relating to gay marriage and the church. This place caught my eye.

(On a side note I'm not big on quoting scripture, I am a christian, I beleive in christian morals. However I am not as avid (almost said rabid) as you guys, and I have read the bible, but I'm kinda lazy I must admit it's a serious failing of mine.

First of all let me say, I don't agree with various churches changing their dogma to allow gay marriage. I remember the last part of the book of revelation telling us not to change his book, or He will change our status in the book of Life. I feel that the unseen forces that move behind and walk through it (Hmm a little bit of a classical reference) influence even the church when the church should hold fast to its faith. Churches probably want to increase their memberships, and they figure its better to sugar coat and accept other sin instead of being the humble missionaries we ought to be.

I believe the homosexuals and transgendered and bisexual people all feel the impulse or the confusion of their bodies. They may be attracted to the same sex, or feel like they are not fitting in their own gender. And lets face it my brothers, letting the weakness of the flesh rule us is always easier then embracing the teachings of our Lord. Denying oneself is harder then giving in. Lust, wrath, pride..people are so full of sin. All of us are, even the believers. Forgiving our lacks and sins is what Christ did for us, we must want to be better then what we are and be humble in Gratitude for our Lords sacrifice.

Think about what it truly means to be a christian, flaming this man and woman isn't making a good example of the faith. Remember the first sin of them all, and who did it. Pride was the first sin, and it's victim was Lucifer.

I thought I was being suitably respectfull. But posts like this brother aren't going to redeem a single soul. It is only serving your pride. On one side I see the churches that rewrite the bible to suit society, on the other side I see the crusade ready to kill in the name of christ rather then save.
