Has Mel Gibson done it again for Jesus? -
12-08-2006, 06:58 PM
I was reading a review of the latest Mel Gibson movie Apocalypto and I was delighted to read comments like "a movie that can be confidently recommended only to viewers who have a concentration camp commandant's tolerance for repugnant savagery". "According to Apocalypto, however, you can successfully roll many heads down the length of one (Mayan pyramid)" and "The sacrifices at the temple are puny in comparison to what they did to the guy on the rack in that movie. But I want people to close their eyes sometimes."
Is it possible? Has Mel followed up on Passion of the Christ with another Christian friendly movie? I pray this movie is a Godly deception of 15th century Mayan culture; depraved, blood covered savages murdering each other until the Christians come and wipe them out.
Can it be so?
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I believe that, in your zeal to promote this Godly film from the God-fearing Mr. Gibson, you've confused your terms. Surely you meant "depiction"?
I, too, look forward to seeing this fine film!

Well I jist hope it shows the GODLY CHRISTIANS coming in and wiping those SAVAGE HEATHENS out in the NAME OF GOD! Savage Heathens NEVER understand diplomacy or peace so they need to be wiped out by the HAND of the LORD if need be. And comes to think of it that IS what we needs to do to those SAVAGE IRAQI HEATHENS today over in the Middle East. Those sand nigras don't want peace or diplomacy and the only thing they will undersand is the RIGHTEOUS HAND of GOD'S MIGHTY US ARMY wiping their nation off the face of the planet. PRAISE THE LORD!!

Dear Brothers in Christ:
I advise extreme caution. Mel Gibson hates some of the same people Jesus does, but his resemblance to a True Christian™ ends there. Horrifyingly enough, Gibson belongs to a cult called "traditionalist Catholicism," which teaches that the current Pope is not damned enough to be their spiritual leader. Indeed, he has even compared the Divinely inspired war on terror in Iraq to the human sacrifices of the heathenish Mayas, at least according to this hippie liberal Californication "news" source.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Alas, the Communist "Left" would love nothing better but to allow another attack on Jesus Himself, and therefore unleash Gibson upon the world. Personally I think he is merely a tool of the devil, sent to ensure that the population of Heaven doesn't exceed comfortable capacity....

Any time you want, sister?
Should I bring my own collar?

Sister Sue, I recommend that you carry mace (or a handgun in your purse, as I suspect you already do), since likely you will have homers such as Rachel stalking you and trying to impale themselves on that collar. Leather and spikes do strange things to those gothtards!

I'm certainly not going to see it. Yet again, a pale male from the first world is appropriating and commodifying other people's shared experience and culture for his own capitalistic ends.

I do not sully my soul, which is by Scripture the resting place of the Holy Spirit, with trips to the cinema, which as you all know is a festering immoral hotbed of deviant sexual SIN.
But I hope you who did enter Satan's House enjoyed your experience, which I'm sure included engorged privates at the sight of many half-clothed native women and the suggestively immodest unifroms of the theatre 'employees.'
Perhaps those memories will suffice to cool the raging flames of Hell as you suffer for all eternity.

Friend,
You may see those kind of things in that liberal cess pit of sin called Des Moines but I assure you we here in Freehold Iowa tolerate no such going ons at the Freehold Light of The Lord Christian Movie Complex (note; movie complex, not Cineplex) As a Church officer it is part of my duties to screen movies for those appropriate to the Faithful. Mel Gibson has come threw for Jesus before with The Passion of The Christ so we are looking to see if he has scoured for Team Jesus again.

Well said, Brother. here are many things that impress me about your devotion to Christ, but your ability to sit through hours and hours of graphic homer pornography, screening out all such sinful content to protect our weak and innocent flock, has to be one of your greatest talents.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Hear, hear! When Rosa and I were last in Freehold, she was whining about wanting to go out and see the town, so I went with her downtown.
As most of you know, she came back from her unauthorized Paris shopping trip as soon as Pastor Al cancelled Ching Lee's credit card. Seems Paris isn't much fun with no money.
Since I wanted to be sure nobody would steal or arrest her (let's face it, there are not many 5'10" shapely 27-year-old natives of Mexico City wandering Freehold), and I was concerned that the Versace or Gucci boutiques might still be open at the time, I went with her. We found the selection of films at the Complex most uplifting!
They were showing a movie about flowers, dahlias I believe, and a Western. We chose the Western. I think it was called "Brotherly Love Mountain" or something like that. Indeed, the characters showed great love for their Brothers in Christ!
Thank you, Brother B-J, for your efforts to ensure that only the finest entertainment is available in Freehold!
