For the life of me, I do not understand why heathen females feel consumed to go to college and get a job. Had they any brains at all, they'd enroll in community college, take some sensible home ec. classes and spend their free time at Church, hoping to catch the eye of a young man who will tolerate them.
A womans job is to have babies, clean up after her husband and do home chores. What could be more fulfilling than that?

JH- As odd as it may seem, I went to college and am looking for a job so I'm not sitting in my room and not getting fresh air when I can't be at church for whatever reason. I'm also hoping that by getting out of my room, I can find a good husband, as I have yet to find a godly man in my hometown.

No surprising, no, but folk need to remember this situation when the discussion about burning the Quran comes up.
Remember the revolution in Libya last year?

I've heard that religion can be used to "brainwash" people, but I have yet to see any proof of that (with the exception of my ex boyfriend).

And how is that going? The way I see it, the day is 24 hours long, you need about 8 hours sleep, freeing you with 16 hours to be reading the Holy Bible and praying. If you found a man you fell deeply in love with, you would feel 16 hours isn't enough. What does that say about your attempted relating with Christ if you don't spend at least that much time learning about and getting to know Him?

I'm sorry to hear that. Were they Saved by Jesus before they died? Will they awake from their slumber on Judgement Day to find their Heavenly Reward, or will they be awoken out of their blissful nonexistence just to be cognizant of an eternity of torture in Hell?

Being a "good man" isn't relevant, Stephanie, at least not "good" by secular standards.

By God's standards, a "good man" is one who always, without fail and without question, obeys His Laws.

Did this relative ever sin? Work on the Sabbath, maybe? Tell a little white lie?

If so, he wasn't Saved.

The good news is that at Judgment, God will resurrect him into an immortal body!

The bad news is that God will then cast him into His Lake of Fire and burn him alive for all time.

You do know that being "a good man" means nothing in the eyes of the LORD, right? He sees into our hearts and looks for the Blood of the Lamb. If your relative was not actually Saved, then the LORD will see instead a lifetime of sins for which he will be justly punished for all eternity. In any case, praying for him is useless now. I would spend the time praying for yourself and then, should the LORD decide you are sincere enough, pray for those relations who still live.

As far as I know, he never worked on the Sabbath, and I'm sure that he obeyed God's laws. I don't know much about his religious life except for the fact that he, unlike me, had the right kind of Bible. My mom never works on the Sabbath, so it's possible that she learned it from him.

Well then, I hate to say it, but I wouldn't hold out much hope for him. You see, when someone is truly Born Again of the Spirit, and has been Saved from eternal damnation, they cannot keep the excitement to themselves. No one will ever say of me, "I knew Mary Etheldreda went to church but I don't know how much she believed." In reality, my funeral will be a glorious celebration of the Work the LORD Jesus Christ was in my life. I expect all my friends to come and celebrate and enjoy my passing. There will be no doubt about it.

Tell me, do you think Gandhi was a good man? Maybe Mother Theresa? By most humans' standards, they were good people. But let me assure you: they are both burning in the fires of Hell as we speak. They may have done some good things, they may have helped people, but ultimately they didn't know the Lord God and as a result they are condemned to be tortured forever in the burning pit beneath the earth. And probably your father too. Our God is a Jealous God, and He deals with sinners with a Righteous Anger, glory!
