Now, you all know what I think of Deepak Chopra, woo-peddler extraordinaire. I wouldn't say he said something intelligent if he didn't.
But look!
Talking about his new book about MooHamHead, Chopra says:
Quote:
“Why should we walk on eggshells when it comes to Islam or the Prophet?” he asks. “That’s an issue for me. I actually am telling my Muslim friends now, and publicly, ‘Hey guys, you’ve got to come out and speak out. Why are you not speaking up? What are you afraid of?’ We should not have this attitude. And I think it’s time to bring that discussion into the open.”

Granted, he follows it up by insulting all false religions AND Christianity:
Quote:
“I’m hopeful that we sooner or later mature into a more secular spirituality, which takes the best from all these traditions, because there’s a lot of junk in all the traditions too,” he says. “But that will take time."

Secular spirituality? He makes it sound like it's OK to cherry pick what you like from religions, mash it all together, and chow down like a trip to Cold Stone Creamery. Faith isn't a product!
