This is a valid question while it baffles me why you don't simply ask Jesus!
Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
"Subdue"? Now this is a difficult word, a big word. What does it mean? "Subdue the Earth"?
subdue
səbˈdjuː/
verb
synonyms: conquer, defeat, vanquish, get the better of, overpower, overcome, overwhelm, crush, quash, quell, beat, trounce, subjugate, master, suppress, gain the upper hand over, triumph over, tame, bring someone to their knees, hold in check, humble, chasten, cow
Conquer earth, crush earth, overpower it, beat it, suppress it... It is not us True Christians™ telling this. It is Jesus with His authorship of the Bible.
A valid question and it was a pleasure to assist you!
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Do you Mormon space cadets ever read the actual Bible? Or do you just stick to your fAke Smith novel? Because if you had ever read the actual word of God, you would know the answer to your question: Respect YOUR animals, destroy OTHER animals.
1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
Psalm 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Son, God gave us the animals to do with as we please. God is fine with it if we eat them, keep them as pets, wear their skins for clothing and accessories, perform medical experiments on them, ride them, use them as bait, make them fight each other to the death, teach them to do tricks, or even torture them for fun. Read the Book of Genesis and tell me I'm wrong.

It's interesting to contrast this story with the shocking tale of the giraffe-slaying Sabrina Corgatelli.
On the one hand we have a Godly, Real American™ dentist, bravely defending himself and his companions against a ferocious and potentially deadly threat using only a crossbow.
On the other, we have a Caitlyn Jenner lookalike with an Italian name, a woman who works outside the home as an accountant for Idaho State University and who shot a giraffe.
(At least, we assume she shot it. My husband says maybe it took one look at her and lost the will to live! )
This is what she said:
Quote:
“Giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously, very quickly.”
|
Sure they could, if they trod on you or something. But, Sabrina dear, I think you'd find that if you'd stayed at home, rather than pretending to be a man and traveling to Africa to hunt, you'd be in no danger from giraffes. I believe that even the campus of Idaho State is pretty much a giraffe-free zone.

Shooting animals from the ground or from flying helicopters carries many obvious risks, as well as less obvious ones such as having to stay in sub-standard local accomodations. The African 5* hotel is only like 3 stars as compare to a real American hotel - it can be terribly bad for lumbar posture if a bed is too soft.
When I've traveled to the country Africa, I always have my hired security bag a couple of negroidals. They're wild, dangerous, and their hollowed out paws make excellent novelty pen holders for nephews and nieces

Professor White- "Subdue" also means to bring land under cultivation, which would make much more sense in this passage than destroying Gods creations for no reason whatsoever, other than a mans (or womans) need to "prove" their masculinity.
Mark 13:22
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”

God loves manly men and hates pansies...you know I'm right, but I will start throwing supporting scripture at you if you persist!

Giraffes are extremely dangerous beasts. They hunt and kill lions and even humans.
