Don't Put Your Old Bible in the Trash or Recycling Bin -
01-30-2023, 11:05 PM
If you have an old Bible you have read so many times it is falling apart, remember it is still God's Word. God's Word must be treated with appropriate respect no matter how old and tattered the vessel which holds it.
In Freehold, we believe "recycling" is a liberal concept born of socialism. No recycling here. Taking God's Word to another city's "recycling" is not respectful either. And putting a Bible in a trash container is out of the question.
President Trump has the best idea. He says he has a "large collection of Bibles" and he keeps them in a special place. We should all take that advice, keep your tattered copies and store them some place that reflects the same respect as does President Trump.

The Christian Post article you linked mentions burning in the title and then does not discuss the topic in the article, so I'll give my two cents on that. Burning Bibles is blasphemous and should be illegal. Of course there's no problem with destroying the many false translations of the Bible out there, but this should only be done by True Christians™. Otherwise it's still an attack on Christ and Christianity in intent.
Based and Christpilled
† Titus 1:10-16† "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake ... Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth ... Unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
The Goyim know. We know who killed Jesus (John 5:16, John 18:39-40, Matthew 27:25)

So far as I know, the link is correct in that the Bible itself gives no instructions. We can, however, learn from religious leaders like Trump and store our old Bibles in "special places."

I don't think I could ever be as respectful as President Trump.

Per my dear husband's insistence, we always put God's Holy Word in each of the guest bedrooms. When any of the rooms are due for a makeover, we simply buy new Bibles and the old ones are either donated to one of the false churches in the area (in the hopes that the congregation will turn away from their false translations and be Saved) or given to one of the servants - with strict instructions to cherish this gracious gift from us.
1 Corinthians 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

I've retained all of my Bibles that will no longer retain the pages.
There is nothing like opening a new Bible, breaking the binding, knowing you are the first to run your fingers along the silky white pages.
I like folding the corners of the pages that have my favorite passages so I can easily delve deep into them and quickly erupt into a joyful bliss of Gods Word™.
Eventually, every page is folded over and there is no crevice I have not penetrated. The stains from my tears soil every word, the deep passages, stuck together, frozen in time.
Then Landover Baptist sends me a new one, stamped with the Pastors own Personal Message®, just for me.
When God calls me Home© I want all my Bibles with me to return to Him.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Bless you, Brother Hutchins!! Your intricate and extremely specific description of a man's first tender encounter with the Holy Bible caused me to go right for the tissue to clean up after my flowing... uh... tears of joy.

My church has a bible recycling center where used worn out bibles are given to the poor in hopes it will save them.

I don't think God will ask you to return your Bible in Heaven. After all, it's the only book you'll be able to read. Why would the Lord deny you that pleasure in paradise?
