As I thanked Him for it, He told me He loved me. I hear His still small voice all the time - it directs me, permeates my being, and gives me peace. I can't imagine not having the assurance that my soul is headed for glory someday. I can't imagine not having the Presence of the Lord in my life daily.


Your name has been carefully added to my electronic prayer list. I have you set to appear every three days. Jesus will hear your name and you will soon become a believer, because He told me that anything I ask for in His Name will be done. I can't wait to hear how your Salvation® takes place!

I had nothing to do with any changes. I find letting sinners bury themselves is Gods Will and there is no need for my insignificant help. I see myself as His Holy Janitor. Wiping up spills and fetching.


No doubt, everyone misunderstands you. You see, a lack of conviction does that. You cannot waffle through life and assume "I'll figure it out later". "Later" comes sooner than you think. Then you have the infamous 'death bed repent'. God is no idiot, He has seen it countless times in the past and therefore is not fooled by such antics. From what I've heard from inside sources, those people are the ones He likes to toy with. Just as these people begin to lose consciousness, He tells them that He is there and comforts them. Then He douses them with fuel oil and kicks them to Hell, placing bets on at what depth they will burst into flames and fall screaming in agony.

The thing is, dear, where do you get these morals/ethics (as you call them) from? People who say they have their own morals/ethics are just claiming the special privilege of making them up for themselves! I'm sure Jeffrey Dahmer was perfectly comfortable with his own "moral standards". But without some sort of moral compass derived from Jesus, we are all lost.

I do urge you to read the Bible properly: not just the bits that say what you want it to say, but all of it. In case you do not have access to a paper copy of the King James Version, here is a link to the online version. You will find it well worth your while.

Why do you need someone else to tell you what your morals/ethics should be? A few examples of the standards I personally hold myself to are:
Be kind
Always seek knowledge
Let others live their lives they way they want to
None of us truly know the truth
Treat people equitably
Etc.

Of course your's probably differ a bit, and that's ok. And I'm also aware that you probably don't care what my morals are, which is also fine.

I get my view of life, by living life. And my view of life changes every day.

But then again I'm just a random person on the internet, that you don't know.

Well, those are very nice qualities to have, Miss Spaz, but being good is not enough to get you through the Gates of Heaven -- except for your time there on Judgment Day.

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment".

You might be the most gracious person in your neighborhood, and you might give generously to charity, and you might be a volunteer for your local hospital guild, and you might feed starving children. While all of that is admirable, it is not going to be your ticket to escaping the eternal fires of .

Ephesians 2:8-10:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

As the above verses from the demonstrate so clearly, salvation is a gift of Almighty. He gave only Son, the , to die a horrendous death by execution, upon a cross, because He loves you so much.

As a matter of fact, the is standing at the door of your heart right this very moment ... knocking ... pleading ... hoping you will open the door to and wondrous love.

Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Typical. Being uninformed and at the same time making assumptions. It sure seems like the person that renamed this thread called it. Being convictable (which you are) and having convictions (which all True Christians™) do is not the same.
With great Knowledge comes great Power. Lacking one means are lacking the other as well.
Only those that fully commit to Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior have a shot at going to Heaven. You cannot go 'just because you want to', that is a Millennial Dream and simply will not happen.

Without God's morality opinion is all that's available. The five points you suggested become meaningless.

1. Be kind
   • What does it mean to be kind?
   • Is it kindness for Jesus to take away our sins?
   • If so, then the means of achieving that is a kindness from God.
     • Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our

   • How do you know if what you find is true?
   • There are so many different standards.
   • Jesus knew that and explained, when questioned, as follows:

       my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth?
   
   
3. Let others live their lives they way they want to
   • What if they want to steal from you?
   • What if they propose serving other gods?
     • Deuteronomy 13:6-9 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy
       daughter or the wife of thy bosom or thy friend which is as thine own soul entice
       thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods which thou hast not known,
       thou, nor thy fathers.….Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him;
       neither shall thine eye pity him neither shalt thou spare neither shalt thou conceal
       him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him
       to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
   
   
4. None of us truly know the truth
   • This has already been covered under point 2 above.
   • Not according to me but stated plainly by God.
   • God is Jesus.
     • John 18:37e Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
   
   
5. Treat people equitably
   • Again, without God's moral standard how can we know what "equitable" means?
   • Imagine a visitor. You've fried up some eggs and bacon, sausages, mushrooms,
     tomatoes, black pudding, haggis, beans, home-made bread, oodles of coffee and
     lashings of ginger beer. Yes, it's breakfast time and you serve up a good plateful to
     everyone. You don't sit there eating all the bacon yourself or give your beau a dish of
     wild boar sausages fresh from the pan while everyone else gets a sliver of boiled
     sheep's head left over from yesterday. That would not be equitable. What about if
     there's a vegan present? They'd start wailing and then the cannibal gets going: "Oh, I
     only eat babies for breakfast!" Do you cook him a baby? When everyone else is getting
     what they most appreciate? Even the vegan who will whine no matter what but that
     seems to be food for vegans. Can you see the problem?
   • Whose standard should apply?
     • Romans 1:16-17 I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of
       God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
       Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith.

It really is quite explicit. There is no-one who understands The Truth who does not hear the voice of Jesus. Clearly then anyone who fails to understand His precepts has no concept of Truth. Wretched, forlorn and all alone they lurch from crisis to crisis relying on hollow possessions or logical positivism or even idols to fill the void they know is there but can never satisfy. Christians follow Jesus. He satisfies the void which is why Christians never go around saying "What is truth?" or "I think everyone should be treated equitably," while having no appreciation of Christ. Equitable does not mean exactly the same in every situation; without God there is no standard for anything at all.

I do take others views into account, I've actually said that several times now. In fact that's why I made the first post. To take your views into consideration. I've also stated several times that I doubt anyone will care about what my opinion is. The point of my first post, was to learn about your church. I clearly stated that.

That is the question we keep asking visitors like Toe T. The lane in front of them has an obvious termination point. They could so easily leave that lane and move to the one headed for an eternity of bliss. Sin is so pleasurable to them they cannot walk away.

Toe wants to know what we believe. We don't hide what we believe under a basket, we wear it on our sleeves. It is spelled out in thousands of post.

We believe sin sends sinners to hell, including Toe. I'm beginning to wonder about the point of this thread when Toe does not reveal the sin we know is there.
