Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe loves people thinking he's gay

Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the new film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, thinks it is "awesome" that people think he's gay.

The actor, who turns 20 later this month, also believes it is good to keep people guessing about his sexuality and said he asks friends to check gay websites for mention of him.

He said: "It's wonderful. I grew up around gay people my entire life, basically, that's possibly why I'm quite camp, and some people think I'm gay when I meet them, which I think is awesome.

"It's always good to keep them guessing. I don't go on any blogs or chats or anything, but my friends are demons for them, and apparently someone said 'Daniel Radcliffe is gay. He's got a gay face!' I really don't know what a gay face is."

The sixth film in the saga Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which has been released worldwide, is expected to earn over £100 million in its first weekend.

Filming has already begun of the two part sequel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be released in 2010 and 2011.

Radcliffe, who stripped naked for his first stage part in Equus, said he also thought it was "wonderful" that the Harry Potter character Dumbledore was outed as gay.

"Half of me thinks Jo Rowling just did that to see if she could **** off the right wing, but I'm not sure how true that is. I think she had it planned, I think she always knew he was gay."

So, basically he wants to keep everyone “guessing” if he’s a queer of not?? Friends, I think there can be little doubt what sexual orientation this little freak really is! OK, I just want to clear some things up. The guy who plays "Harry Potter" may be gay, but the movies are not. They are not trying to make kids or anyone who watchs them gay. The video you have shown was made by some KID, not by the people who make the movies. If you are going to show a video claiming that they are promoting being gay then fine a TRUE video that was made by the people who make the movies. Trust me anyone can take a clip of a movie and make it want they want. Also, you said God hates liars and deceivers, and you are right. You are quite correct, Rachel -- no-one is a bigger deceiver than the Radcliffe boy. I believe this was an attempt by his PR people to portray him as a typical randy teenager with an eye for the ladies -- however, there are overt clues regarding his homosexuality.
