But now I am saved! The power of the Lord, experimental surgery, and aversion therapy has cured me of my once rampant Sodomania! Granted, when I was in the grips of my disease, my life was a blur of drugs, sin, and semen. But that was before I was filled by God with His love!

It is as important for your Salvation, as eating food is to sustain your life."

It sounds like Christians can still sin, or do these verses only apply to non-Christians?

1 John 1 has to do with before we are Saved®. 1 John 2 is post Salvation®.

I never said I had never sinned. As a matter of fact, I am very open about my sinful past. 1st John 1:8 is very clear here on this. I simply said that I no longer sin, as I am saved and therefore incapable of committing a sin. If I were to sin tomorrow, then I was never truly saved in the first place. You only need to look to the verse just before to see what I am talking about.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

It is a little bit more complicated. Exodus 20:13 is not the issue here. The reason Leviticus 20:13 can not be implemented here is not Exodus 20:13, otherwise Leviticus 20:13 would be pointless and we all know the Holy Bible is perfect. It is 1 Peter 2:13-17 and Romans 13:1-7. God created those in his infinite wisdom to prevent all True Christians™ from being jailed.
