I don't understand this either, why have a child if you can't afford one? Also, I know abortion is sinful, but what about after birth, is adoption acceptable, or should people be required to raise all of their offspring. Also, the apostle Peter (I think) states that we should live chastely if we can, does that mean that it's better to live your life a virgin, or raise lots of little soldiers for God?

Kids don't have to cost very much. A bit of oatmeal, a set of clothes, and a bit of coal for Christmas (they always do SOMETHING bad) is enough for a good childhood. Just ask anyone who grew up in the Great Depression, also known as the Greatest Generation.
Anyway, consider money spent on children to be a form of tithing. From the tithing faq:
How can people afford to live if they give most of their income away?
God provides. HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE GENEROSITY OF GOD!
Matthew 6:34 Take no thought for the morrow."
Matthew 6.25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
But I'm what if I'm poor?
Jesus expects you to tithe 100%:
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living
Jesus says you should give everything: EVERYTHING, even your own family:
Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
What happens if I don't have the money and never will?
Take out loans and apply for credit cards. The rapture will take you to heaven before you have to pay anything back...

Adoption is fine, as are orphanages. Romania had a very pro-life policy, and it's orphanages were so busy and good that the liberal-media had to create a smear-campaign against them.

No. It just means sex is supposed to be with the lights out, missionary position, and over in 2 minutes maximum.

Thanks Trent, always good to get an authoritative answer. These days kids aren't happy without xBoxes and playstations and other girlish toys, this is why homosexuals are taking over the world. Got to move to a real country, where you can raise kids the way God intended, belt in hand, handy with a gun, gunning for Salvation.

Wow that's just wrong. 7-year-old are CHILDREN. That's horrible. If i'd have a daughter I'd never let her wear anything like that. And if someday I'm blessed enough to have one, she definitely won't be wearing anything like that.

You want your daughter to grow up alone and unfulfilled, never able to find a husband or properly breastfeed her many, many True Christian children? People like you shouldn't be allowed children, I'm sure the Lord, in His mercy, will deny you both children, and Salvation.

I don't know if it's okay to say this but I have a heck of a lot of boobage for a thin girl like me, so if my future daughter inheritates that feature I'm sure she doesn't need any push-ups to look full in the chest area when she's old enough to marry and get kids. And I think God has much better things to do than deny me from having children because I don't think push-up bikini is a good thing for children. Oh, and I found a loving husband - without a push-up bikini.

There are plenty of Web sites where you're free to have pornographic conversations. This isn't one of them.

Well my comment wasn't most definitely pornographic. In my opinion this topic is in general more questionable than my comment (I mean - push-up bikini for a child?!). And it was just a thing I said to the person that said my future kids will not have kids if they will not have push-ups. Then I just said my future daughter probably doesn't need one because of my genes. I don't think it's a very good base for a relationship if you need extra padding to get a husband anyway.
Sorry if you understood my comment in the wrong way.

Nanaaa, I am a recovering Internet pornography addict, and every single day of my life, it is only be God's grace that I am able to resist the urge to engage in self abuse. You're not making it any easier with these graphic descriptions of your private body parts.
In fact, I will have you know that at this very moment I am desperately trying to pray my erection away.

I am sorry, that wasn't my intention at all. I'm glad you are recovering and congratulate you for being strong enough to ditch that addiction!

Why don't you show some mercy instead of mocking that poor soldier of Christ you harlot? Keep your pornographic filth in Sinland, and off of these God-Fearing message boards.

What? I just apologized him for the wrong way of expressing myself. I'm not mocking him! Just read the previous comment again and you know that all the things I said were good and came from the bottom of my heart.

I'm so ashamed of myself! I'm worse than an animal in a barnyard!
How can I preach the Gospel in the streets knowing I am so sinful and weak? I'd feel like I had this horrible, disgusting secret that nobody out there knew about, like I was preaching under false pretenses.
Maybe I should wear a big sign when I'm preaching on street corners that says, "I AM A MASTURBATOR."

That might be a bit drastic (and it would probably bring up some disturbing mental imagery )
Why not just have a red "M" sewn on all of your clothes? The ostracism I'm sure you'll receive should be enough of a deterrent to future onanism without being so open about the subject.

Thank you Lycia, I think that might be a good compromise.
What would you say to the idea of my getting the following tattooed on the palm of my right hand as a reminder?
Quote:
Ephesians 5:3
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
|
I'd been thinking about having it tattooed directly onto my manhood, but I worry that doing so might be sacrilegious.
There is also the problem of having to patronize some sleazy tattoo parlor and place my manhood in the hands of somebody I am not married to, or even worse, some flaming homosexual tattoo artist.

I would say you need to go back and re-read your KJV Bible, particularly Leviticus!
"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Leviticus 19:28
No, I know getting a scarlet "M" sewn on all your clothes is the perfect solution, because it worked for me!
The pastors have asked me to always wear a nice, red, visible "W" on either my blouses or dresses (depending on which I'm wearing at the time) all the time, so I can constantly be reminded of the danger a sinful past threatens us with. In fact, they care about me so much that whenever I forget and wear something without a "W" on it (because I forgot to sew it on yet) they add an extra 10% to my tithe at the end of the month.
I'll tell you what, after the first time, I never forgot again! And now I'm always aware of the threat of backsliding into harlotry.

You seem to have some conflicted thoughts.
The push-up bra may be used to get good christians married as soon as possible. But they are used by females only!
You won't be getting married with a good christian woman any faster when wearing bra. In fact the opposite will happen: You'll just end up getting some desperate wench that can't cook or something even worse...

Thank you Living Water! Can you please provide a link to this thread? I think I need it!
I've tried going to Sex Addicts Anonymous meetings, but they believe in worshiping your "higher power as you understand it," as opposed to Jesus Christ, and they are fond of saying such as "Take what you like and leave the rest."
Definitely not compatible with a Christian walk.
