Please pray for the victims of the (most recent) Texas shooting -
11-05-2017, 11:10 PM
At twenty six have died, and twenty more are injured, after today's mass shooting in a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
The injured and the families of the deceased need our prayers. The ones who are deceased need no prayers; there's nothing that can be done now that they are dead. If they worshiped Jesus they will go to Heaven, but if God misled them they are going to Hell:
Ezekiel 20:25-26
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.
I will leave to our Godly Pastors to evaluate whether that particular Baptist church really followed the Bible 100% or maybe were they given by God false statutes to follow. But I suspect that community did something to anger God:
Nahum 1:2 God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
One way or another, we also should pray to God thanking Him for the mayhem He Himself orchestrated. He knows why He did it and it had to be right (because God is the ultimate judge what is right):
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?
Also, I would like to use this opportunity to say that this is not the time to politicize God's Wrath and talk about gun control. A Muslim running over six people with a HomeDepot truck, that is the proper moment to start talking about deporting all Muslims from the USA. A second mass shooting within a month is not the proper moment to talk about background checks and automatic weapons.

A Muslim running over six people with a rented Home Depot truck is a terrorist act of the worst kind. We need to discuss registering Muslims, taking away their drivers' liscenses and keeping them out of Home Depot. Why do they need a bunch of hammers and nails anyway? Look at what the Jews did to Our Lord when they got ahold of those items!
You are right about acknowledging the Lord's part in today's shooting, dear Sister. God would never allow such a thing to happen in His House unless it served His Holy Purpose in some special way.
He protects His own at all times--except when He needs to show them some correction in some dramatic way or visit wrath upon some nearby sinners. One way or other, God will be praised. And if they don't praise Him and thank Him then we can be sure that they deserved exactly what happened to them.
Right now, I would like to praise Jesus, Lord of Hosts, fulsomely. Nothing like this will EVER happen in any Landover Baptist Church setting.
Can I get an amen?
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Soon, I'm sure, our President will offer the warmest condolences, even warmer than the condolences he offered personally through twitter in Las Vegas. Anyway, I think they deserve warmer condolences than those who would be duped into travelling all the way to the Seat of Sin itself for entertainment when there are plenty of entertaining board games to be played in the safety of one's own home. Games like The BibleMan Board Game, Left Behind the Movie Game, and of course Bibleopoly, should be enough for a True Christian™ seeking a little Rest and Relaxation after a long work week.

Could someone please change the title of the thread to something a bit more specific? Just trying to prevent confusion between this multiple killing (Nov. 5, 2017) and the next one... and the one after that... etc. etc.
Thanks!

Twenty-five killed in a mass shooting in Texas, but not a word about armed church goers putting a stop to it. The shooter should have been taken out by an armed church members immediately after pulling out a gun.
We have not had anyone killed at Landover Baptist because church members pack heat. A mass killer would be dead on arrival.

Brother Mr. Mayor,
It almost puts shame on the Baptist denomination; I mean, really - all those people in the sanctuary and not one of them can pull out a 38 special? Disgusting.
Still, it's a sad day and I mourn for the families and pray that they spend Monday at the local gun shop so future incidents of this nature are thwarted.
But say - isn't this the church that sent Creflo Dollar a huge donation recently to buy his airplane?
Well, I'm sure there's no connection.

I suspect that church is Baptist but not True Christian™. Nevertheless, we Baptists know Jesus wants people to carry guns just as He carried a whip and used it on the money changers in the Temple. Jesus and guns go together.
I agree we should pray for the victims. But when we are finished, let's all meet at the range for a little target practice.

Pastors should have an AK-47 not behind the altar but where it can be seen by the whole congregation. And a few grenades for good measure. Then, the congregation will know they are secure and in the care of their pastor and God.
Do we really have to let the jungle bunnys of deepest darkest Africa show us how it's done?

That glass pulpit also looks nice just so everyone could see there was nothing funny going on. I'm thinking of those weird sects with funny names here, not True Baptists.

What a terrible tragedy.
Again. Perhaps, prohibition or more strict control of guns would avoid these tragedies?
Or more protective clothes.

I thought you were reading the Bible. I thought wrong.
Jesus has told us to even sell our clothes to buy guns:
Luke 22:36 - Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Of course, the fluffy Christians will mention the next verse:
Matthew 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
So, if the killer brougth a gun, he should die by the gun. How can that happen if no one else has a gun?
Exodus 22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, [there shall] no blood [be shed] for him.
So, not only he has to die, but we should not even be concerned about him dying.
Next time you see a mass killer, don even hesitate, kill him with your gun. Just make sure your gun is bigger than his gun, has more rounds and is semi-automatic. Of fully automatic, even better.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

I am mad at myself for this, but I agree with the heathen Much on this.
Like hurricanes, and other God's intended punishments for His Holy Land of USA, the mass shootings need to start having names.
Also like hurricanes, I propose they have female names.
Can we call this mass shooting "The Hillary"?
This way we shoot two birds with one round. We are specific about which killing we are talking, and we focus the attention were it should be: the Demoncrats and Hellary!
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

NO.
While you could argue that people with mental problems should not possess guns, or that statistics show that America has an about average number of crazy people yet is only civilized country faced with mass shootings problems, our Godly President just proved you wrong. It's only about mental health and not about access to guns by people with mental health issues. Duh!

Ecclesiastes 3 is your answer:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Apparently God decided it was time to kill. As i mentioned in the opening post, I suspect that this community did something to anger the .
Maybe they let a bastard in?
Deuteronomy 23:2 bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
Or maybe, God made another bet with the Devil as described in Job:
Job 1:6-12
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
The story continues, that Satan killed all Job's family and inflicted all sorts of diseases on Job for the sole purpose of testing his faith. Note that these were 10 lives destroyed by a bet on the faith of a single human (Job's seven sons and three daughters); now in Texas, only 8 family members belonging to a single family were killed. So maybe we're witnessing a somewhat lesser scale bet between God and the Devil here?
In the Bible, God eventually replaces killed wife and children with new and even better ones (Job 42:13-15). Hence, if the families of the deceased deserve it, God will also give them replacements. Praise !

Dear Cristiano,
If I may, I'd like to add that whatever happens has been considered and approved by God beforehand, and He has chosen not to interfere. God is good and we should thank Him for every single happentance on Earth. I'm going to be extremely helpful and give you a Bible verse in your native Spanish to assist you see the whole Light and nothing but the Light (John 1:4).
Job 34:13
Ben cert! Déu no escolta raons buides,
el Totpoderós no en fa mai cas!
Alarmingly, the numbering of verses in this Spanish Bible has been changed and this is actually Job 34:12
Job 34:12
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
Still, this will make you see that by allowing this incident God did not do wickedly, as He has told us in His bestselling book the Bible that He does not do wickedly. Praise God!
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Thank you Mr. Elmer, for your...help. Allthough this is not spanish - it is catalonian / catalán. But I can understand what it mean.
I understand that you're saying that God has chose to not intervene, and is not wicked. Because he has saved some of the people.
1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
But how about the children? One were only 5? Why let him be murder? God actually want this?!
