The Moon as a Light -
04-30-2023, 12:23 PM
The ignorant and Godless often claim the moon is not a light; it is merely a reflector of light. God does not agree:
Ge:1:14: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Ge:1:15: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Ge:1:16: And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And after seeing the Christian Science below, you will agree with God.

Truly Brother, this is one of the most ridiculous things atheist science peddles to its sheep. A rock reflecting light.
Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

God is smart the way He turns part of the moon's lights off part of each month. It must save energy. It might be a little helpful to have it turned on all the time but God knows what He is doing so I never complain.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Many people, ignorant of Biblical facts, believe the scientists who tell them that daylight comes from the Sun. Nothing could be further from the truth. As we learn in Genesis 1, God created day and night on the first day of creation:
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:4-5
God didn't create the Sun and Moon until the fourth day:
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Genesis 1:14-19
So, if the Sun were out at night, while it would provide some light, the world would still on the whole be dark because it would be night.
This is why the Moon is actually far more important than the Sun. The Sun gives us light during the day, when we don't really need it, but the Moon gives us light at night, when we do need it. This is just another sign of God's thoughtfulness, providing a lamp in the sky to light our way for our nocturnal activities.
The Bible is filled with explanations of natural phenomena that are just as enlightening as this.

While we can't know the mind of God, it is possible to see His kind character. I think this is what we see when he moves the moon around at night. He knows different people are doing various things and some require light. When little Joey is walking home from his friend's house God notices and moves the moon to give Joey more light.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Amen, Mr. Mayor. Truly our God is a great and powerful God!
The Bible tells us that, with even a modicum of faith, we can move mountains.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20
If we can move mountains, I don't see why we couldn't move the Moon. I suggest using prayer, though, rather than commanding the Moon directly. I always like to involve the Man Upstairs when I'm going about rearranging the geography of the Earth or of heavenly bodies, just to avoid unintended consequences.
While I've done my fair share of mountain moving through faith in my day, I haven't tried to move the Moon yet. I always figured that, even absent prayer requests, God would put the Moon wherever it was most needed at the time.

Our knowledge here at LBC about the moon is superior to all people everywhere. We are the experts who have determined it is an independent source of light.
This puts to rest the fake "moon landings." People have landed and walked on the moon??? HaHaHa. The moon is hot with yellow fire. No one has ever walked on the moon.

Very Bibical explanations brothers. For example here Isaiah 13:10 talks about the sun and the moon choosing not to turn their lights on:
For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
It doesn't say "all light comes from the sun" or whatever the Scientists say.

Indeed! And God made the Moon, so He should know!
