I understand that the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her that she was going to birth Jesus Christ. I get that. But how is that any different than Muslims believing that the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mohammed? Both can be used as "Evidence."

Essentially, what makes you so sure that you are "right?"

But how do we know that the Bible is true? This is a serious question. I could write down that we should worship a false God, and try to get people to believe it. The Bible is true because it is true. The entire course of western civilization has been determined by it. Right. So how would it be different of I and a group of my friends decided to write a book that said we shoul worship towels? How is that any less true? You choose to blindly base your lives on a book that you have no evidence is true. I don't have a problem with that, but it simply confused me why anybody would do that.

How do you know that the people whom wrote the Bible were visited by God? I could claim the same thing. It isn't true, but I'm sure I could get people to believe it. That's how Mormonism started. Some guy said he was visited by God. How do you know that the Bible is truthful?

Science books change so often because people are constantly making new and groundbreaking discoveries. However all basic laws stay the same. We're never going to disprove Gravity because it's already been proven. Not everything changes. The Bible hasn't changed because most people who choose to follow it literally are ignorant and themselves refuse to change everything.

God has nothing to gain, because he isn't real. The Bible is a set of species written by a group of people to try and produce a set of rules that Mankind should follow. There was no Diety involved.
