Hello! from Italy -
03-29-2011, 06:54 PM
Hello to everyone, I am very glad to be here and meet you all.
My name is Mamozio, 27 years old and I'm writing from Napoli - Italy.
I have some doubts and I hope you can help me find some answers when I will be enabled to write in other forums.
My favourite verse is, in italian:
Apocalisse 21:6
E mi disse:
«Ecco, sono compiute!
Io sono l'Alfa e l'Omèga,
il Principio e la Fine.
A colui che ha sete
io darò gratuitamente da bere
alla fonte dell'acqua della vita.»
in english should be:
Revelation 21:6
And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Hello Mimosa! Welcome to the friendliest little forum on the internets.
Tell us a little more about yourself: How many sons have you been blessed with? Is it true that giant anacondas roam the streets of Italy? Bolognese or alfredo?
Yours in Christ,
Z. Smyth

Hello Zechariah! Thanks for the welcome! I'm not married yet, so I'm not blessed with sons yet.
But about anacondas... I don't know what to say, maybe just as many roaming in the US.
Bolognese or Alfredo? I'd say lasagna!
And my name is Mamozio (Minollo nickname)! Mimosa in Italian language is a flower...

As I said, I'm italian, 27 yo, I'm not married yet, but I'm engaged with a wonderful girl who will marry as soon as we can.
I work with horses, I think that my work in english is "blacksmith".
I like almost all animals but I'm insectophobic.
I like music, especially the old Neapolitan songs.
I also like old motorcycles and I repair them in my free time.
and now, I don't know what to say...

You're not some kind of queer, are you? Anyway, hi, Momamia, and welcome to our forums!

Please, keep your Bible quotes here in English. Jesus didn't speak Italian, so why quote an Italian "Bible?"

Why "some kind of queer"?
you seems a little suspicious, but maybe I'm wrong (I hope), maybe because we speak different languages and when I don't understand something I use an online translator.
About the bible verses, if you look well, I've posted the english translation, just few below the italian verses.
And i really do not understand why Jesus could not speak italian. I'm sure that He can speak and understand the languages of all people and countries. Even "my" italian.

Well, I've been to Napoli once. It's a cool place except for the taxi drivers trying to scam you and the garbage in the streets
They have the best pizza though

Hello Minolta, and welcome!
They have songs about ice cream? What's with that?
If you have a fear of insects, was it brought on by an experience with head or body lice when you were a teen?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
Are you pulling my leg? I haven't offended anyone here, so I hope you don't think I'm here to be on a joke.

But, probably because English is not my first language, I still have some doubts and I'm wondering if you can help me understand.
How do you match time zones with the idea of a flat Earth? I mean, here now is evening, and there in the US should be morning time, or early afternoon.
If the earth is flat, shouldn't we all have the same time?
Please tell me something more about this, or tell me where to read more, as we don't really have many Baptists here in Italy and I would learn more to decide to move into a more serious Faith, I like the idea of scientific proofing applied to religion.

This is an interesting point, I didn't think to this issue like that. It does make sense, and it's one more proof that earth can be flat, instead of round as I was teached when I was a child.

Welcome friend. I know very little about your country, and even less about your language.
But if "E pericoloso sporgersi" would be important, why isn't it mentioned in the Holy Bible?
Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Thank you friend. But sorry if I dare to say, the Holy Bible you mention is translated in English for you, and in Italian for me. We all just read translations for every language, so I guess that neither "God bless America" is mentioned there, right? So please you all guys now stop pulling my leg just because I'm a stranger.
