Christianity is not about "fun" – it's about Joy.
What could be more joyful than knowing the circumstances of one's birth had been overcome and the suffering we all deserve had been dumped on someone else? Jesus died, having been conceived without the transmission of sin, or guilt (culpability if you prefer) as the case may be, unavoidable for everyone else. We know about the whipping He endured, undeserved, but what followed is incomprehensible. Firstly there's the intensity. If I were dipped into a molten chemical (except mercury) that would be bad enough due to its high temperature (for Jesus that was 240 to 800 degrees-ish) but when that is intensified several billion- or trillion-fold (depending on how many humans you think will have existed) the capacity of any one person to grasp such anguish and pain is overwhelmed. Each second an infinity, over and over again. He loves us that much and for those who decline His redemptive proposition, into The Pit they will be cast forever. This beautiful story of sacrificial love needs to be understood because there lies the secret of everlasting joy. If this were not learned, if we were not reminded of it every day, how could we understand the words of this lovely song? Perhaps you could recommended it for your "gym" – I've never been in one so I don't know what they're like but your pizza video more or less aligns with what I'd expect. Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and JOY and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
