Nigerian Pastor Chopped Up By Machete. Don't Blame Landover Baptist -
10-04-2021, 03:41 AM
Reports are coming in from sh!t hole countries around the world that Christians, including pastors, are being killed. Demands are being made to send in our troops to save them.
These Christians are there because some churches and denominations sent missionaries to sh!t hole countries. Landover Baptist did not.
Early in Landover Baptist history the idea we might send missionaries like other churches was discussed. Our church founders decided people who spoke funny languages, were of "another" race and wore robes and pajamas are not our friends. And, Landover knew Jesus wanted us here, not there.
Landover Baptist gets requests regularly from liberal groups like the Southern Baptist Convention for money to save preachers in those countries. We replay with a form letter. Summarized it says, "You put those missionaries there. Get them out yourselves."
We can all be thankful our founders made decisions that pleased Jesus and even to this day kept all of us safe here in Freehold.

Just wondering what the publicity value would be of sending Zeke on a rescue mission to, say, Nigeria, compared to the insurance payout of a terrible, terrible accident involving machete-wielding Nigerians. I hear some of the men in the Pastors' bullpen - young Master Ben in particular - are champing at the bit to minister to the flock.

I can't remember if Pastor Zeke has done Nigeria yet or not. Our evangelistic outreach is so much smarter than, for example, the Southern Baptist Convention. SBC puts boots on the ground. Once you have a man on the ground, how does he earn his keep? He can't move around holding crusades and bringing in money. Instead, he writes home to SBC and cries that he is starving.
Pastor Zeke moves from place to place harvesting donations. He packs the plane with hard to buy items and sells them at a big markup. And, he he take hard dollars for currency exchange--there is profit in that.
And, most importantly, Pastor Zeke and his "staff" have a good time. Tropical countries where the audiences are half dressed are his favorites. Flying in, preaching a great sermon about sin and then flying out, is so much better than leaving preachers there to be killed.

If someone is determined to risk his life to save the souls of a bunch of jungle bunnies, why not start right here in Iowa with Uncle Rutherford's relatives?

Why not? Well, do they have any money? My guess is probably they don't. Nigeria, on the other hand, has scammed Americans out of huge amounts of money. We need to get it back. There's only so much time to save souls before we ourselves are called to our rewards, so it makes sense to do a little cost-benefit analysis. Rutherford's relatives just aren't worth the effort, and I'm sure he'd be the first to admit this.

Brother Dennis, I stand corrected. Thank you for this most poignant rebuke.
I definitely think any operation in Nigeria should not involve a permanent presence. The way Pastor Zeke handles these affairs is the best--in and out, in and out.

I wish we could use our distain for missionaries in worthless countries as a marketing tool for Landover Baptist. It's a little risky because other churches might say, "Christians are supposed to go and spread the Word. Southern Baptists are sending missionaries. What's wrong with Landover Baptist?"
We would have to explain to such people the Bible does not say, "Go waste your money in sh!t hole countries and have your preachers killed." If the Bible told us to do that, we would. But, it doesn't.
I'm not sure some of these Christians in name only would understand.

Well, not like it as a valued person. Niggerisstan is chock full of spear chucking savages. A lot of Princes as well, so I am told.
I ordered a Elephant Foot stool from there as a Thanksgiving gift for Pastor Flint.
You would think the game wardens would stop the machete wielding maniacs but then again, you just know what they are all like.
I look back on history and see so many of the freed slaves in the USA complaining. If it were not for decent White men like me, chances are they would not be alive today.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

In tragedy today " Haiti kidnappers 'demand $17m' for missionaries". It's unseemly to say we told you so, but $17m would go a long way towards paying for Pastor Zeke's new jet. It sounds to me like God is sending the false Christian missionaries as make-weights for those who need the hard cash. Do we still have contacts in Haiti? I recall we had a mission there a few years ago, maybe led by Des or Youth Minister Harry. Perhaps they can be tapped to hold into a few Americans for a few months - for their safety.

A practical business question here, what are the replacement costs? Those churches could pluck a few seminary students from the preacher training programs and send them over to Haiti. Easy peasy. I'm guessing the cost would be under $20,000. The kidnappers would know they were up against some tough guys then and throw in the towel.

Like the cathylicks, the Southern Baptist Convention became enamored of sodomy years ago - and we denounced it here a LBC.
Having stopped reading the Bible (KJV1611), the SBC is not aware that Jesus taught us to be armed (Luke 22:36-38) - even telling us to have 2 weapons.
Any "missionary" should be armed - and depending on the shit hole country that could mean F15's and C130 gunships.
Sure, if we had a True Christian™ government we might be able to rely on them. However, today's LIEberals seem intent on having "Gender Studies" programs at Kabul University.

When you found a nation on the basis of breaking one of God's commandments (in this case Ephesians 6:5) you're going to have a bad time. Just a bunch of ignorant, masterless, coal-black boogies running around beheading chickens and casting spells in abject poverty. You really have to admire the restraint of the Dominican Republicans in not just going over there and bombing and shooting them all.
Nigerrhea is pretty much the same just with Islam instead of Voodoo.

Kidnapping and ransom demands are all over. Here in Freehold we have wealthy people and a wealthy church. I'm starting to wonder is some of our residents, or pastors, might be kidnapping targets. Whether it's Haiti or Russia, criminals are always looking for money.
Nearly everyone in Freedom carries a firearm. Our pastors do as well. But are their other safeguards we should be taking? No one from Haiti can cross the City border into Freehold now. But, are there other ways Catholics, voodoo worshippers and atheists might take victims for ransom? Perhaps we should increase our security.
