To kill a false Profit -
02-13-2009, 04:18 PM
I have thought about something for a while, if someone were to kill a false profit.. either someone claiming to be Jesus reborn, someone leading men astray, or any other acts deemed truly against God. Wouldn’t it be a good thing to end the life of the false profit if in the end it meant saving hundreds possibly thousands of souls from burning in hell?

What kind of profit is false? Is that the money you make from crossdressing or something? I could see how that is a false profit....
Gather around so that I can read to you from my book of TRUTH. Genesis thru Revelations....Pick one!

Do a little search of the forum, try to find out what the Bible says about having to follow the laws of the land.

I have been “researching” the forums for a while now. And I haven’t seen anything pertaining to my question.

Here is what Biblical law has to say about false prophets:
Deut. 18:20-22: But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
However, until Jesus and the Republican Party finish the task of scrapping the heathenish U.S. Constitution and reestablishing Biblical law, we must follow secular law:
1 Peter 2:13-15: Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: (There are other NT passages that say the same thing, but for the sake of brevity, I'll cite just this one for now.)
Then again, secular law also provides for self-defense, which is very easy for a True Christian™ to prove to the satisfaction of a Freehold County jury.

Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Not really, I mean say someone became a member of your church and started saying he was Jesus born again, what would you do? Would it be right to end his life knowing he would leave your church attempt to get followers (probably succeed with today’s world) and doom hundreds if not thousands of souls?

What's your take on the Bible passages that I quoted above?

Deut. 18:20-22: But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
That in the end he will die.

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Don’t fear the false prophet.
1 Peter 2:13-15: Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
False prophets will be punished. And it is alright to silence them.
So if someone is deemed a false prophet, it is the right of the good Christian to silence or kill said prophet.

Wouldn't it be easier to make a web page denouncing them? Besides, anyone who is stupid enough to join a cult and worship a false prophet is probably too stupid to become a member here.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Well the false prophet could have been the first person to preach to them, so the person having never heard anything else would believe the first person to tell him or her anything.
And making a webpage denouncing them wouldn’t be as affective; someone would actually have to search for such a page. Would you kill a false profit Nobar King?

Is this how you judge True Christians? Do you go around asking them whether they would kill some hypothetical person? I'm no murderer. And if you're talking about insurance fraud, that is not part of my game. Are you trying to question my morals?
If you feel so strongly about this, why don't you write us a treatise on how you feel about false prophets. We've seen them all, so if you have anything new to add, we'll be the judge of that.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

No I am not trying to judge at all, I am simply trying to understand another branch of Christianity. I just wanted to understand how this church thinks as a whole.

So, why do you keep asking us if we kill false prophets? Do you know any you want taken out? You should be good at that by now.
What's your sniper rating?

Lol there’s no sniper rating, just marksmanship and I am expert at rifle, pistol, machine gun, and grenade. To go sniper you attend a special class that’s only available to those with 20-20 vision, being as I have glasses and deployed prior to getting free lasic eye surgery I won’t be able to attend the class. That’s actually why I joined the army, for the experiences and because I love weapons. It really upsets me that they are trying to do away with personally owned weapons in the states.

Your army has an 'expert' rating with hand grenades? I don't believe it.
