Virginijus Sinkevičius • In charge of: (European Minister for) TURTLES
I am no longer surprised at what Europeans think government departments are for. Since this is a transnational organ, I'd imagine the salary is ridiculously high, possibly with a free jet. The aircraft are plain white and may be seen occasionally at airports such as Bankok, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro, Bermuda, Honolulu, Cayman Islands, Tokyo, Fiji. But for some reason I've never seen one in Europe. And they're not very incognito. Wherever they go there's a conspicuous welcoming committee,
with signage, it doesn't take long to work out who's in those (usually weather beaten, so much arduous travel) plain white jets.
He's doing it for the turtles.
