Is it possible to change my name? -
03-03-2014, 01:54 AM
On Friday, I went to the doctor as I thought I must have reached the dreaded menopause, as I had not had my period. He took a urine sample, and then gave me the most glorious news. I am pregnant again! Hallelujah!GLORY to GOD! Another new little Soldier of Christ has been conceived!
Now I'm not due to give birth until October, but when I do, my name on here will be wrong. I will become a Mother Of Eight! Will it be possible for the moderators here to change my name in October?
I'm so hoping it's another son!

Congratulations! Great news! You're such a great Christian woman, I'm sure God will give you a perfectly healthy son, and not some kind of deformed thing (like a daughter).
I'm sure that when the time comes, name change will be possible.

Congratulations, dear! May the LORD bless you with a healthy son!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Why not be proactive and change your name to something like Mother of Multitudes, as I'm sure your husband won't stop seeding you until your uterus (pardon my french) caves in and every last drop of calcium is leeched from your bones, and you fall over dead, as pleases The Lord. That way you won't have to go through the hassle of changing your name every 9.1 months!

Because Brother Hammer, I feel this may be the last. My youngest is 5 years of age, so it's been 5 years of trying to get this one. The doctor said it was a miracle at my age.

Oh....so sorry, sister! May God give you the parting gift of a son, and not the consolation prize of a daughter!

My wife, Mrs. Hutchins, has been with child (usually a son) about once every eleven months, has since the day we were married. The ones that God kills in her womb, we save in a jar on the mantle. Those that have survived have almost all become fine Christians. We have been married close to forty years now.
I think you need to ask yourself why God does not want to bless you more often. Review your life. When your husband lets you ask questions, see if he is willing to explain to you why God is angry.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, a new child in the family often results in sibling rivalry, which often results in rebellious children. You know what God commands next: Leviticus 20:9.
The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, is all I'm saying.

You might want to consider - if and when the admins allow such a name change - to only count the number of sons. After all, our names are not a contest, but a reflection of the important things in our lives.
Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Many congratulations on the news of your Interesting Condition, Sister. But, at your advanced age, you should not count your chickens before they are hatched. God has been known to punish older mothers, especially those with "doubts", with defective monsters. Perhaps you think you are not guilty of doubts? But you doubted your ability to conceive another child, and who knows what other sins you may have unwittingly committed?
I think Brother Jeb's point about sibling rivalry is an important one. And Wide-Open makes an excellent point when he says

I do not feel the need to use my on-screen name to brag about the number of my many descendants.
I will pray for a happy conclusion to your pregnancy, dear.

Just remind me - how many grandchildren do you have? And how many great grandchildren?

Oh this is great news! I shall pray daily that God has blessed you with a son! I am now recently a mother of thirteen (8 sons and 5 daughters). My husband has already insisted upon trying again for out next soldier, I hope we do not have the unfortunate wait of five years like you. I am eager to have another son. Have you thought of any names yet?

No names yet. The inspiration always comes to my husband through the Lord, when he first sets eyes on the babe. But I know it won't get a Jooish name
