Just got this in the anonymous prayer requests mailbox:

HM the Queen's husband, Phil the Greek, has been involved in a traffic accident. He was driving, and pulled out from a driveway on to the public highway. He is 97 years old. He was uninjured - though the little, unimportant people in the other car were taken to hospital.

The Archbish of York (second only to the Archbish of Canterbury in the hierarchy of the Church of England, or third if you include the Queen) has tweeted on this important matter:

The responses are perhaps not what he hoped for. Am not sure what to pray for: does Archbish Sentamu want Phil dead?

I would consider this a reminder of why you should be careful what you pray for. Prayer actually works, it's not like "wishful thinking" aka "the law of attraction", which we have been playing with. We only killed Patrick Swayze and got the Pope fired, probably because someone misunderstood the joke, and prayed when they were supposed to be "visualizing".

I'm going to add that I can't make any sense of the British class system - they should just rank people by how much money they have, like everyone else does.

Also, while normally I would not pray for someone to recover from what was either incompetent driving or God's punishment, I'll make an exception. The British drive on the wrong side of the road, which is confusing for people all ages.

It should come as no shock to anyone that the British Royal Family are great supporters of authoritarianism and fascism, but why the specifically Germanic flavor of Nazism? Aren't they British? WRONG!

In fact, their name was the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha until they changed it to Windsor during World War I to disguise the fact that their loyalty lied with the Kaiser instead of with their British subjects. The British Royal Family is nothing more than an immigrant family of tax mooching Nazis. If people as paganistic and primitive as the French and the Russians can get rid of their monarchs, what's stopping the Brits?

This is a sad story but I have serious doubts about praying for a man (or simian?) who felt that it would be appropriate to proclaim himself a false god (Deuteronomy 6:14). Of course, the prayers of this "bishop" are futile (John 9:31) and the only hope Mr. Queen has, is True Christian™ intervention. Should we intervene? To do that, we'd need to know some crucial details about this incident.

Background
Prince Philip is a desperate man caught in an intolerable marriage. His consort is an uppity woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) who often succumbs to booze.



Conclusions

Based on this, we realize that Philip was desperately trying to escape this unhappy marriage, failing to realize that all marriages are supposed to be unhappy (Luke 14:26)! Our Creation Science Team has determined that Philip was probably trying to reach the Channel Tunnel to flee from the Brexit debacle, too, presumably to his home country of Grease. Thus, his motivation was understandable if unGodly. Further questions remain:

• What kind of a motor vehicle insurance policy did he have? Will he lose his bonuses now? Are the injuries of the collateral damage people covered? If he loses his bonuses, will he have enough lifetime to re-gain them?
• Did the police conduct a proper cavity search? They should have, although it would necessitate extensive Spiritual Crisis Intervention to those poor officers who would have been forced to peek into the rectal region of this unnaturally old person.
• How high was the bail set to release him under the Queen's custody? Was he cuffed? He should have been. Do the guards realize that the other inmates will be in sodomistic peril if this wannabe God can rampage free in the ward?

So many questions, so few answers. I'll refrain from praying until we get some accurate data. After all, it is practically certain that God orchestrated this accident to show the world the terrible nature of the Royal House. This is the only explanation as to why the car was cast sideways as if the engine went dead!

Later on (this was all the following day) he asked God (if that's what he thinks he's doing) about the other vehicle. I believe it was of foreign manufacture and although its passengers were hurt perhaps that's the reason why The Duke's prayer came up sooner? I must admit, Brother, that my knowledge of the obscure apostate sect calling itself the "Church of England" is rather weak, so when I read your comment I thought you were making some rather oblique attempt at a joke. New developments. The consort Prince Philip did not sustain any permanent damage. In fact, he's back behind the wheel. There are some new developments that have to be considered. Were we too hasty to condemn his abrupt escape from his impossible marriage?

Just a couple of days after his nearly fatal crash, he was seen driving happily without a seat belt. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it would mean that he's now willing to have Jesus take the wheel. Why bother learning the traffic regulations or related stuff that obviously requires much more advanced cognition that is available for the Prince Consort? Why not let Jesus take care of the driving? If we look at a photo taken during this last happenstance, we can clearly see why it is impossible that Philip would be the one in control of his own driving.


OK. Now we know that the gentleman above is incapacitated. Let us consult the Bible to see, if Jesus not only abstained from interfering but also actively guided the motor vehicle first into the accident and thereafter the unnaturally ancient Prince into reckless driving without the seat belt.

The Bible defines what constitutes an idol and for Christians no other explanation is required. For those who think "Yellow" means blue or "Strong" means the infinite vacuum of space I doubt there's much hope. And I have no idea what this archbishop thinks "Idol" means but it's not what God thinks, is it.

By Anglo-Catholic (aka Church of England) standards that's pretty restrained, Sister. Have you seen St Augustine's "shrine" in Ramsgate? There's no reason why you should have, and I really don't recommend it, but here's a small example of the horror within:
