I'm pretty sure I once saw a play by Shakespeare with this very plot though possibly with some other weapon used. Swords, most likely, or maybe garroting. But the Markle woman, being a fine, trained classical actress, is certain to be familiar with it and has the low cunning to update and vary the instrument/s of death.

I think Harry and Merkle have a couple of sons. That helps establish a motive.

That there has been no announcement of an investigation makes me wonder who all was in on the murder. If Charles does not order an investigation early in his reign as King it points to him as part of the plot. Of course, if he has been warned his own life is in danger by poking into the Queen's death that would explain it as well.

The net worth of the royal holdings is about $25 billion. Merkle is after it all.

Pastor, Matt asks if you've considered jumping the line by marrying into the job, like William III, one half of the famous King William'n'Mary. The deal there was that he permitted his wife to become queen but only on condition that he became the actual king, with none of that "consort" nonsense. If they did that for a mere Dutchman, there'd be no problem at all for a Flint!

The obvious candidate is Charlotte of Wales (don't worry, she isn't actually Welsh). She's currently third in line, with just WIlls and her droopy elder brother Whatsit in the way, so it shouldn't be too long. Okay, she's only seven years old, but she'll be 16 in no time and you'll be able to marry in Scotland - or earlier, I guess, in some US states, with her dad's consent?

Another point in her favor is that as the only daughter of the heir to the throne, she's getting her pick of the dead queen's personal jewels. Think how many pastoral jets that lot would buy!
