11When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

12Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

Dear Ladies in Christ!

I hope, every women on this godly message board still have both hands! I still have both mine, but as I read this Bible passage, I instantly added this to my prayer list:
Please, Lord, help me remember not to encroach when my husband fights (possibly with a non-believer, for his faith)!

It would be so hard to do chores and everyday stuff (cleaning, dishes, dressing, bathing, diapering my kids...) with only one hand!

If you know women with one hand, tell me, how they get on with life?

I can't think of any ladies with only one hand. I'm minded that this would be a fairly rare event, thankfully, but it's certainly a timely reminder to all these sassy feminazis that God expects you to be demure and chaste at all times even in the most fraught of circumstances.

Of course those same feminazis would start ranting on about this is just the sort of reason to ignore God in the first place, yadda yadda. There really is no reasoning with them, they have blind faith in their principle that men and women are equal

i hear that my husband's late ex-wife Ethel had only one hand and no tongue in accordance with Mark 9:43, Matthew 5:30, and Matthew 18:8, by the time she was buried to the waist and stoned to death by Godly anonymous vigilantes right here in the backyard. God bless them, whoever they were.

I have seen one girl with one hand. I am not surprised either. She was a goth girl working at the gas station. I asked her if her husband had cut her hand off and she rolled her eyes at me.

Later in the car my daddy told me that she was a good Christian married woman but now she worships Satan.

Thanks very much for reopening that old wound. My late wife bled to death because I had to follow God's commandments and chop her hand off. I told the whole sad story HERE.

Princess I can't even imagine trying to make tasty pie with just one hand! You really need both to get it just right!! But Daddy always says that if he does have to take a hand off I better be able to bake just as good, cause he doesn't want to give up my pie! So I would learn!! Praise and GLORY!!

When we are instructed by God, and see what is necessary for our redemption - in addition to childbearing and being frightened of our Husbands - it helps me to understand just what a dreadful place hell must be. When atheists mock our beliefs (and they seem particularly anxious to deny the existence of HELL and SATAN and DEMON POSSESSION and ETERNAL DAMNATION I WONDER WHY [NOT]) it is God's commandments in matters of this type that remind me yes, hell is real. Otherwise God would not need to command amputations would He. And the activities demanding amputations are not those which would occur to me, either. We are so richly blessed to have God's Inerrant Word, and by His Love for us who least deserved it.

I don't know anyone who has been involved in these doings, but it must have been a fairly common occurrence back then if Our Heavenly Father had to give us explicit rules about it right there in plain English.

I didn't understand that passage at all as a child, but now that I am a grown woman, well, you don't have to be an atheist Scientist to figure out what Our Lord means by "secrets", now do you?

I'm glad that God speaks to his children in that old-timey way so that little children aren't concerned and ask us inappropriate questions when they are too young to understand. I mean, our little daughters can read and understand all about punishment hand amputations but they don't need to know about a man's "secrets" until they are lawfully Married.
