I never heard of it so it can't be famous.
Freedom means voting for Donald Trump!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

I recognized it immediatly when it started burning since I've seen pictures of it in architecture books and heard of it as a popular tourist destination there.
I agree that it's not as famous as Big Ben or the Eiffel Tower or the twin towers but it's up there with name recognition

First of all, you're clearly trying to one up Brother Cranky and act like you're smarter than he is, which you are not and will never be. He is an old fashioned man and has no reason to know anything about trivial foreigners and their nonsense.
However, you are correct that it is notable. I was familiar with Notre Dame before this Islamic arson incident, but I was not aware that they had opened a campus in Paris. Being a Nebraskan, I support the Huskers, not the Fighting Irish.

Oh, dear Brother Man: It's just like any other Cathyolick church, full of statues, candles and indoor outhouses. The "clergy" wear the usual pretty gowns and big hats. The only difference is that this church is bigger than most, so it has more dust collectors and knickknacks than their other churches. Maybe now that they have such a mess on their hands, they will obey the Lord for once and finally do some dusting in there:
Isaiah 1:16 "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil".
A blessed evening to you, dear Brother. Sincerely, Isabella W.

I wonder if now we can look forward to mid-April for visceral acts of GOD. On April 15, God sent Abraham Lincoln to Hell, sank the "unsinkable RMS Titanic" and now singed the Catholic cesspit, Notre Dame! I think I see a pattern here.

Well, hello, Dolli! I wonder if the French people have heard of that which you mentioned to your darling children, about President Trump building a big American Baptist church on the Notre Dame land. I was reading something else about this, and it was noted that the French were going to build a huge monument to our glorious President, to thank him for his helpful suggestion about using flying water tankers to douse the flames as they destroyed the cathedral. Then, as I read further, I realized they were being their usual sarcastic selves, showing no shame, and exhibiting such obnoxious pride!
Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Is it any wonder that their famous cathedral went up in flames?
Here is a photo of the monument that those Frenchies said they are going to build as a tribute to our Godly President. Notice the disgraceful plaques. How the Lord grieves! A blessed evening to you, dear Sister Moans. Sincerely, Isabella W.

I've known about it for awhile before this fire. It was built from 1163 and finished in 1345. It began when Maurice de Sully got the idea to build a much larger church then the one they had back then. He abolished the Romanesque cathedral and chose to recycle its materials and build this one.
Theres so much interesting stuff about it. I would love to see it after its repaired

It shocks and appals me to see people quoting Michel de Nostredame in any context whatsoever. The man was a Catlick, of Jewish blood, and a soothsayer. Basically, he just made stuff up. Just look at the state of him!
Leviticus 19:31: Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 20:6: And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Leviticus 20:27: A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12: There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Micah 5:12: And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers.
(There is much, much more of course. The above is a mere taster.)

They might THINK they hate God but in this case have you considered how God regards places like this? Can you find any examples from Scripture where He destroyed idolatrous structures?

That really doesnt matter at this moment. This structure was one of the greatest pieces of architecture ever built no matter how idolatrous it is.
Besides of we were to condemn this structure then maybe we should condemn all the other structures evangelicals and baptists and Jews use for their worship as well...just saying.

I'm not really sure what are you fussing about. If God liked medieval cathedrals, He'd have placed at least one here in the Godly USA. He didn't, that means He doesn't care about them, so why should we?

It still really doesn't matter though. It was one of the most holy architectures ever built in admirance of God and it's now been destroyed. Whoever burned it down is honestly worse than a catholic
