True Christian™ Financial Advice Urgently Required -
08-01-2010, 07:41 AM
As you all know the good and Godly Pastors have enlightened me and shaped me into a worthwhile True Christian™ and brought me to Salvation™ from my previous debaucheries’ and Hell-bound lifestyle with my wife, Adult Entertainment star Destiny.
See here:
http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=44827
http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=43843
Since the separation Destiny has been wracked with guilt and has made a couple attempts at reconciliation which I have firmly rejected as my life now is devoted to Jesus, Landover Ministries and a True Christian™ lifestyle.
Imagine my surprise when this morning I opened a letter from her Lawyers to discover that her guilt is apparently so deep she has now assigned via Commercial Deed 50% of her / business earnings directly and irrevocably to me
With Movie rights, DVD Sales, Internet Downloads, Royalty Payments , Residual Over-riders, Intellectual property, Directors Over-riders etc. this equates to around $198,500 AUD ($170,710 USD) per calendar month.
My dilemma is what do I do??............The way I see it this money is little more than the “wages of sin” and conflicts directly with the KJV 1611.
I thought of tithing say 30 -40% monthly but I realize that this would ultimately corrupt, dishonor and discredit the good and Godly name of the Landover Ministry as this money is a direct result of sins of the flesh, so this is obviously not an option that Jesus would like
I have seven days in which to respond or the offer will be withdrawn and be null and void
Advice and suggestions Brothers and Sisters is urgently required
Reverend Jim...Pastor Zeke.....Deaconess Talitha ...Brothers and Sisters can you please pray on my behalf for a Godly solution
2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Be at peace Brother Warner, the passage you're thinking of there is Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
What you're not taking into account though is the preceding passages of Romans 6:
17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
So you see Brother Warner, you have moved from being a servant of sin into being a servant of righteousness.
As to what you should do with the money, Hebrews 13:5 has the answer:
5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Obviously then you cannot keep the money for yourself. Should you then return it to be used for sinful purposes? Indeed not! Luke 14:33 has the answer:
33So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Tithing then is appropriate, but 30-40% is too low a figure, you should tithe it all. I know you're concerned about corrupting the church by handing over sin-tainted money, but Luke again has the answer in 16:9-11:
9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
10He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
We can know indeed that this is true not only because it is in the Bible but also because it is backed up by Revelations:
5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
So you see the sin-taint will be washed away from the money by handing it over to the Church through tithing. But remember that the act of giving away wealth also serves to increase wealth, from Proverbs:
24There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
The sinful money you give to the Church is washed clean and greater wealth shall surely come to you in your righteousness! It could even be said that Christianity is the most effective money-laundering operation ever conceived!
I'll need one of the Pastors to confirm (Rev. Jim maybe?), but I believe they accept checks.

His Final Harvest is absolutely correct. God wants you to send all that money to us. It's right there, black and white, in the Holy Bible. As well, consider that earthly riches are the property of the Lord. So you're not "giving away" money, you're "giving it back to its rightful owner", which is God (who uses us as a proxy).
Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Haggai 2:8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
It's the moral thing to do. Think of tithing as finding a lost puppy. There's a flyer out there that says you will get a reward if you turn in the puppy. The bad thing to do is keep the puppy (tithe money) for yourself. The right thing to do is return the puppy (tithe money) to its rightful owner (God/Landover Baptist Church). You also get rewarded, for God promises that to those who tithe!
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
I think the answer is clear, don't you, Brother?

Brother Warner, listen to the good Christians please. Much like your Destiny's disease filled neither orifices her money is just a trap made by Satan to damn you. Send to it the only people who can't handle something like that; the pastors of Landover Baptist.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I can see how the above responses would be appropriate for most cases, but given the specifics here, shouldn't Deut 23:18 be considered?
Deuteronomy 23:18 "Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

You make an excellent point. We don't want to offend God!
Mr. Davidson would do well to invest in small businesses, which will create jobs. Then those employed through such jobs should make clean, pure contributions to the church.
Mr. Davidson, I mentioned a number of businesses in North Salem that could use injections of capital to create more economic development. You can read about some right here. You can also learn about the lovely and charming Widow Helen here. She is available for matrimony, my friend . . . Perhaps you would like to visit North Salem sometime? I'm sure I could coax the good Widow Helen into giving you the special VIP rate for your room!
Naturally, the folks in North Salem would provide copies of their last two years' profit and loss statements, so you may determine what increase in profit is attained through your injection of capital. 40% of said increase would be sent to you each year . . . or to the church of your choice!
I'm sure there are plenty of small businesses in Freehold in which you could invest, as well . . . but it's always good to diversify one's portfolio!

I have considered this, but I realize this does not actually pertain to the situation at hand for this money is not going into the house of God directly, but into our private bank accounts. Therefore, we are not defying this commandment.

From my favorite book:
1 Timothy 6
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Let not the harlot's money corrupt you but do good works with it as in diversifying in Landover holdings/businesses.
and from
2 Timothy 2
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
As long as you do good works with the harlot's money you are on righteous grounds.
1 Timothy 5
23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

Rev. Jim
Thank you for that sound Biblical advice. It has given me some considerable comfort and it appears that already Jesus is guiding me via your good self
There has been one development that has me worried and that is the spectre of a personal taxation imposition upon me on all revenue received as I have considerable income from other avenues and thus my tax bracket will escalate to around 49.5%
With this in mind would it be appropriate to have myself bypassed from receiving theses funds and have Destiny’s Lawyers directly deposit them into the LBC tithing account?
(Or indeed / possibly to a worthwhile LBC program such as Sister Wintersnow’s Gals 4 God rehabilitation program???)
I would be interested in your views.
In the meantime I will ask Sister Wintersnow if there is any opportunity / interest to assist her program etc.
In addition there may be other programs / ministries within the LBC that could benefit from this also and I would be happy to help if a suitable solution can be found
Thanks in advance

O.K.
Just finalised the matters with our Lawyers and tentative arrangements have been implemented for some $ 45,000 (AUD) per month to be tithed for Jesus.
In addition there is a back payment of another $45,000 to be taken up and thus some $90,000 will be available for transfer within the next 24 hours.
Shout Glory
However I am still unclear on where / which Ministry account to apply these funds to so could the appropriate Pastors please advise
