Hello brothers and sisters of Christ, I know that this is a topic much discussed already, but it cannot be said enough. Rock music is a scourge on our nation, and must be stopped at all costs. Here are 10 facts that explain exactly why God hates this rubbish "music".

1. It encourages the use of illegal drugs. Practially every one of the top 40 records being played on every radio station in the United States is a communication to the children to take a trip, to cop out, to groove. The psychedelic jackets on the record albums have their own hidden symbols and messages as well as the lyrics to all the top rock songs and they all sing the same refrain: It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins.

2. Drums are the instruments of satanists, devil worshipers and pagans, and should never be listened to. The rhythm has been proven to have a brainwashing effect on children, and slowly converts them to satanism. If you hear drums, block your ears! I cannot stress this enough.

3. Rock music encourages rebellion. The Lord orders us to submit to unto him, but with this rock and roll in our ears, we are likely to rebel against Him and His word. Further, the music teaches children not to listen to the wise counsel of their parents. How can we raise our children to be good Christian Americans when they listen to this rebellious filth?

4. Rock music encourages homosexuality and transvestism with men wearing make-up, and even dresses or skirts (which they try and say are "kilts", ha! We know better than to fall for that! Clearly rock represents a homosexual agenda, with all male groups touring the countryside in one bus. Most likely they are sharing the same bed as well, but let's not get into that.

5. Rock encourages women to start thinking for themselves, and to believe that they don't need a husband to guide and lead them. So-called female rockers parade on stage singing about nonsense like "independence". All such performers are lesbians or possibly bisexual, as some travel alone with large groups of men.

6. So-called "Christian" rock groups are the worst of all. Not only do they put the name of our almighty God into these "songs" with drums and guitars, which is the height of blasphemy might I add, but they're also part of the same agenda as the rest of them. They attempt to fool good Christian children and parents into buying their music in order to brainwash them and convert them to satanism.

7. Rock tries to tell us that the government is wrong, but only when a Republican is in office. Look how they've stopped doing that since Comrade Obama muscled his way into office. They've always wanted to destroy our beautiful capitalist country with their socialist ideals. Remember, it's a small step from rock music to communism.

8. Rock music encourages promiscuity and whoredom with their overly sexual lyrics and innuendo. They parade around on stage and in videos half-naked in an attempt to convince young girls (and boys) that they want to have sex with them. Studies have shown that children and teenagers who listen to rock are 22% more likely to have sex with older persons. Rock music = pedophilia.

9. Rock concerts are often used to present propaganda about "peace". This is a clear distraction from the war that God has ordained us to win. If the rock musicians were in charge, we'd all be living under the rule of the Saudis by now!

10. Lastly, rock music encourages us not to read God's Holy Bible. The lyrics of nearly all rock songs are laced with subliminal messages telling us to burn our Bibles and submit to the will of Satan! We must ensure our children read the Bible instead of listening to this filth.

So there you have it, ten indisputable facts that prove that God hates rock music. We need to stand strong against this onslaught my friends, if your children bring home a rock CD, make them break it in half. Tell them to listen to real American music like Dolly Parton or Willie Nelson. Or even better, why don't we listen to more hymns? Encourage family singalongs of "Onward Christian Soldiers" and other real Christian patriotic songs.

I love rock music, it has a great sound but it actually is not bad music. No offense to who ever wrote this, but obviously you have never heard rock of any kind at all. In case you didn't know, but the first heavy metal song ever was a Christian song. It was released in 1968, it was by Iron Butterfly and it is called Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida. Google the lyrics, it says nothing bad at all and the song is just about peace and love and the Bible. But seriously, rock music incourages gays? Come on bro, it actually incourages the complete opposite. And rock musicians mostly are god-believers. Well, you are a bit right about #1, some rock songs incourage drug use but hey, everyone is a sinner, no one is perfect. But seriosly, all music with drums is satanic, now where in the Bible does it say all music containing the sound of drums is satanic. Even christian music contains drums, and you listen to that. Just try to listen to music without drums it is horrible, their is no beat and it just sounds horrible, if you're listening to something without the sound of a druum it is definitly not music AT ALL. Plus if you are listening to a type of rock that shows a super amount of hatred to the bible it is probably those death metal and screamo bands. And this whole conversation brings me to my last point, why are you bashing on rock but not rap or hip-hop, that music is way worse in lyrics than all rock combined. Atleast rock is all about different things in lyrics like true stories, love, peace, and tons of other stuff, while rap is all about sex, drugs, and murder. So quit making rock seem so awful. But if you were listening to that hatred metal, listen to classic rock bands like the Who, the Rolling Stones, Cream, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Eagles, Rush(Rush has never sung a song about anything negative), the Beatles, Blackfoot, Steppenwolf, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Deep Purple, the Doors, Iron Butterfly, Creedence Clearwater Revival(CCR), the Guess Who, T.Rex, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Yes, Black Sabbath, and the Kinks. I really don't know where to begin. Let's start with The Rush, shall we? When you say that The Rush never 'sung' about anything negative, were you ignoring the anti-authority, law & order mocking song Red Barchetta where a young boy breaks the law and speed limit while avoiding the police in order to get back to his pedophile uncle? What about the gratuitous vulgarity in Who song Who Are You? Does The ZZ Tops song La Grange that promotes whoredom, alcoholism, and drunk driving set your blackened heart aflutter? What about the entire Desperado album of Eagles that glorifies lawlessness?


Don't even get me started on the Beatless what with their open promotion of Communism in Back in the USSR and the hidden message of whoredom with the lyrics "show me around your snow peaked mountains way down south" which is obviously an allusion to the mons pubis. Or how about the homersexual group sex (there should be a name for this perversion, but there isn't) encouragement of the lyrics "Come together, over me, right now"? Not enough for you? Dude, I like rock because it has a great beat and the voices are great, and if you want me to believe you then post lyrics to rock songs that prove it. But most of those songs are about stories and love and enjoying life, y'all just are extremists. I don't know what God you are talking about, because the real God and real Christians aren't this hateful or non acceptent. I just wanna say sorry about the username, I use it for erery thing, I just think it's funny. I don't know how to change it. So if you could, please tell me how to change it.

And just so you know I only like rock because it has a beat I like. It is that kind of music you jam out to. Or in some cases, relaxing to. Good bands to relax to are bands like Pink Floyd ( one song they have that I think is great to relax to is Comfortably Numb) or Phil Collins (only occasionly, like the song I Can Feel it in the Air at Night), I don't prefer them for their lyrics but the way their voices sound, or because of the nice, soothing beat. But not all songs are about completely satanic things, like Deep Purple's hit "Smoke on the Water" which tells a true story about how when the band went to perform at a casino, but some dude burned the place down with a flare gun. Or like Creedence Clearwater Revival's (CCR) hit song "Fortunate Son" which was a protest song about the Vietnam War. And another protest song about the Vietnam War by the Rolling Stones called "Gimme Shelter" that talked about the horrors of what was happening there. Those are good songs, in my oppinion. I'm sorry, I ment to say lighter like classic rock. But I couldn't give you an example of classic rock christian bands because I've never heard one. I haven't always been the cultured, worldly, sophisticated, genteel southern woman you have been graced by communicating with on this thread. There was a time many, many years ago that I was put on a bad path, like you are right now. This was before Mr. Brentwood my dear husband, found me worthy enough to shape into the woman I am today. I know all too well what the music of The Pink Floyd can due to young impressionable people. Let me tell you a tale about a young child taken against her will into the den of drugs and hell.


I was a naive 7 year old when my babysitter Janis didn't inform my parents that she had tickets to The Pink Floyd's The Wall concert. Instead of canceling babysitting me, she made me go to the concert with her and her horde of depraved friends. It was when the song you find so relaxing came on, that every person but me, lit up one of those funny, wacky, hand rolled cigarettes. The smoke filled the concert hall and while the song hammered away, so did the people. This was the single most traumatic event of my childhood, which up until then was pure bliss.


Is this what you want to happen to your soul? To let the demons in, take you over using your body and soul for drunkenness, sex and drug use? 1 Peter 5:8 , Romans 13:13-14
