Welcome back, repentant Jewess! What mighty works has God wrought in your life over the last few days?
| Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

My husband had been under the weather for a few days, but, praise God, his health is now restored. Prayers of loving family members have been heard by the One who heals. Glory!

Mr. Pendergast, I was looking at another thread where you had shared about the omissions in the NIV translation. I was so fascinated by this and I looked at KJV and NIV in parallel and you are right, those verses are mot included in the NIV. When I went to Bible school, I studied various versions but it never occurred to me to study them in parallel. Interestingly, the Russian translation does not omit these verses - they are all there. I believe the Russian translation was made from the Septuagint so what did they use to make the NIV?

Sexual deviants and packers of mud that hate God and prefer to wallow in their filthy sin rather than ask for help from Jesus Christ. The NIV is a wicked distortion of God's Word that encourages sexual sin and mollycoddles perverts.
But God will have the last laugh, praise Him!
Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
In Christ
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

The Septaugint is a Greek translation of the Old Testament. The New Testament of the 1611 KJV is based on the Textus Receptus (Received Text), the only accurate Greek text. The Notoriously Inaccurate Version, however, is based on manuscripts corrupted by the Papists, such as Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. The translators of the Notoriously Inaccurate Version cherry picked from a variety of manuscripts in order to water down the message of the Bible and make it suit their liberal agenda.

There is an essential flaw in your argument. Clearly, if I tossed 42 kids who annoyed me into a bear cage at the zoo I would be a maniac. But to imply God would have a bad reason for coming through on Elisha's curse and ripping those brats to bits... Well if you can't see how wrong that is already...

I am sorry, Mr. Pendergast, I did not express myself too accurately. Yes, the Old testament of the Russian Bible was translated from the Septuagint. And thank you for answering my question - I was yet again enlightened by the great knowledge of the people attending this forum! Praise Jesus!
