Oh, yes, Dear Brother Mayor Hold; those LIE-beral Demonrats would say things like that. They know full well that the animals could be relocated safely to new homes; but -- oh, no -- that cannot be done because of some silly regulation, or tradition. Now, I can think of only one time when something like this actually turned out to better a situation.
One time, when Agatha (my sister) and I were visiting friends in that

-hating land of Canada, we heard about a situation where the environ"mental"ists were doing everything they could, to prevent blasted windmills (for electricity) to be erected. This happened at some out-of-the way place that nobody's ever heard of -- where people rarely visit. Frankly, one wonders why they were even considering increasing power supplies there. You see, the only real inhabitants of the area were the turtles -- yes, turtles. And, it was those very turtles that prevented the windmill project from going ahead! Yes, turtles defeated this project, even though it was brought on by their government. Have you ever heard of anything so absurd?

A proposed wind farm at Ostrander’s Point in The County, as it’s known locally, was rejected by an Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal. Not because the wind turbines are harmful to humans. Not because the turbines are to some a blight on pastoral landscapes. Not for any reason to do with electricity policy or wind power. No, the Ostrander Point proposal was rejected because it threatened the peaceful and orderly future of the Blanding’s turtle.

Whilst the turtles could have been removed and taken to a new home somewhere else, this is one time when I'm glad that such a project was canceled. The reason that this victory is so heart-warming is simple: those windmills never had a chance to spread the cancer that our beloved President Trump knows they create!
