Bush calls bluff on sick kids; crybabies go home empty-handed. -
10-03-2007, 10:36 PM
In a stunning stand for Jesus; George Bush used his veto powers to nix handouts to child-moochers trying to pilfer our already fragile health care system. If you ever had any qualms about the scheming, underhanded maneuvers of the poor this should erase all doubt. They have now loaded their children on the victim train and teach them to bitch and moan just like their parents. Sick my ass. A darkie with a couple of festering boo-boo's on his body doesn't exactly get my sympathy. Hopefully he'll be too sick to carjack somebody.
The money is needed for Christ's war. If you need health care join the army; it's covered in full.
Quote:
As expected, President Bush vetoed legislation Wednesday that would expand a children’s health insurance program, drawing immediate fire from congressional Democrats and setting up an override showdown that could be politically perilous for some Republicans.
The bill Bush vetoed (HR 976) would expand the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP, by $35 billion over the next five years, to $60 billion. That would be enough, Democrats say, to provide health coverage to 10 million children whose families are low-income but not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid — about 4 million more than the program now covers.
Expanding the program has been a major priority for congressional Democrats, who have talked of legislative measures to assist middle-class families stressed by stagnant wages, a deteriorating housing market and rapidly growing health care costs.

Praise Jesus! Now if we can persuade him to repeal that ridiculous "Child Labor Law" we can start putting America back to work! I'm sure that Brother Monty would agree with me on this as well.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

So...plenty of money for killing people, none for healing them. Does Dubya realise that if all those kids grow up sick or die,he'll won't have such a plentiful supply of soldiers ?

Historically, when the citizens of a country refuse to fight for it any longer, the government imports mercenaries....first to fight in their foreign wars and then to control their own citizenry.
With the passage of the Patriot Act, the laws prohibiting the use of US troops against US citizens on US soil have all been revoked, but no one seems to have noticed, so we Christian Republicans are going to have things OUR OWN WAY FROM NOW ON!

That's right; their was a glorious time in our past when 10 year-olds worked in coal mines! A liebral person I know said 'yes, but the Child Labor laws freed them up to do other things, such as live to be 11.' Yes, and then 12...13...and then 18, when they voted Demoncrat! T'was a shame to see those Satanic laws instituted.

Poor children already receive government-assisted health coverage. This legislation was basically to assist middle class children. The Demoncrats wanted the money to come from a 61-cent increase in the cigarette tax. It all rests firmly on the backs of smokers, who are predominantly lower class. So the lower class would be paying the way for the middle class. George Bush, as always, was being compassionate when he vetoed the bill. He was looking out for Deaner and his ilk.

You're so close and yet so far, screech owl. We don't need to spend money to heal people, except of course the cost of the anointing oil:
James 5:14-16: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
On the other hand, throughout the Old Testament, God routinely told His people to wage war, and that cost money.

If the prayer, anointing, and confession didn't cure them, then they probably wouldn't have been good soldiers for Jesus to begin with.

If your kids - or any members of your family - need medical care, the solution is simple. Faith healing (as Pastor Isaac already pointed out). This is one area where Landover Baptist Church can lead the way. Sadly, we don't have an LBC branch (yet) here in Wacko, Texas, but some of us true believers are going to get together this Sunday for a tent revival meeting at the Wacko County Fairgrounds. We'll be bringing our Bibles and rattlesnakes, so if ya'll have cancer or heart disease, do drop in and we'll fix yer right up.

I shall be happy to discuss my feelings about it with you as soon as I finish cleaning my firearms, one of which will soon be a Barrett.50 with an effective range of 2,500 meters. Granted, I will probably only get one shot off when they come to confiscate my firearms, but if seventy MILLION Americans get one shot off......suffice it to say that we won't go down like the JOOS at Warsaw or the New Zealanders at Christchurch! People who believe gun control equals crime control can come get my firearms if they choose to ride the greased pole to HELL through an act of suicide. Of course, Christian Republicans are the only ones who know who should and who should not have access to firearms and it seems pretty clear that college students are the worst offenders. We plan to stop the carnage by suspending all education past the eighth grade and reinstating the draft for a minimum of ten years of military service in the Army, Navy, or Air Force. The Marine Corps will remain an elite all volunteer service who will save the day after the messcant and Canuckistani armies fail to defeat the cheese-eating surrender monkeys at the battle of Hastings II.
