Are you following "greasy grace"? If so, time to repent. -

Many liberal false Christians come to this discussion board saying because we are under grace rather than law, it doesn't matter whether we live Godly lives. That view is called "greasy grace," and it is not Godly.
The "greasy grace" analysis of Scripture begins with the following verse:
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The problem is that it pretty much ends there, too. That verse, isolated from the rest of Scripture, does not explain the difference between true belief, which has saving power, and sham belief, which does not.
Spouting Christian happy talk is not sufficient for true belief:
James 2:14-17: What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Nor is expressing a Biblically correct opinion:
James 2:19: Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Instead, you must not just hear the Word of God, but do it:
James 1:22: But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
If you are not a doer of the Word, you are unsaved, and you are in effect actively working iniquity:
Matt. 7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
If you say that you get to write off your iniquity to being under grace rather than law, then you are preaching the exact opposite of Scripture:
Romans 6:15: What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
That is, if you don't obey the entire Bible, you don't get to hide behind John 3:16 or any other isolated verse. So if anyone tells you that it's possible to be a practicing homosexual or other unreptentant sinner and still make it to Heaven because of John 3:16, that person is preaching a doctrine of devils. To anyone who says, "I'm a whosoever," I say, "Unless you act like one, no, you're not." If you're a practicing homosexual who doesn't heed these words, the only thing for which you're practicing is eternal damnation.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
