Brother Luka, you are absolutely right. The environwackos banned DDT, but unfortunately they didn't stop there. They came up with all sorts of bureaucratic red tape to hamper the job creators.
My company used to dump dioxin into the Great Lakes and Mississippi River, but then greenie-nuts claimed this was causing cancer and birth defects, so they got it banned. Well, that's ridiculous - dioxin is actually a vital nutrient, found in all foods produced by my company. Back during the Vietnam War, it was marketed under the name "Agent Orange," and was a very popular item with soldiers. Everyday, we had low-flying helicopters and airplanes spraying the stuff on the countryside, to the great benefit of the grateful Vietnamese people. That's how you win hearts and minds.
Of course, if the greenies were so afraid of a little dioxin, they could have avoided it by just taking some individual responsibility. By their own admission, people only got cancer if they actually drank the dioxinated water, or bathed in it, or ate fish that swam in it. But if, like me, they only drank pińa coladas, imported Perrier bottled water for bathing, and ate caviar from Iceland and whale meat from Japan, they would have been fine. Why do we need a nanny state trying to protect people from their own irresponsible actions?
Once the EPA started harassing us, we closed down the petrochemical plants in the USA, fired all the workers without notice (and without paying the wages we owed), and moved everything to China. Not only did the Chink government not care if we turned their rivers into open-air cesspools, they even supplied prison labor for our dioxin factories. It still pains me to think how for so many years we capitulated to the union thugs and paid minimum wage to Americans, when we could have been in China where all we have to pay is 3 bowls of rice and a packet of cigarettes per day.
After George W Bush became president, the New EPA retested the water and found that dioxin levels were perfectly safe. However, I don't think we'll be moving our dioxin factories back to America unless President Perry comes up with some generous bailouts. After all, without bailouts, how can anyone expect a free market to function?
Mineral water: certified 100% safe by the New EPA
Anyway, about that DDT stuff - we still manufacture it over here in Chinaland. Of course, the Chinks label it some other name like "infant formula" before we ship it off to Africa. Apparently comes in real handy over there, both for killing insects and eliminating troublesome ethnic groups who would otherwise overpopulate like flies. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.
