Of course, let's think about this whole thing rationally... why would you even want to believe that hitting the person you love and would give your life to is in any way okay for the mere sake of discipline?


How is that ever going to help any relationship you have with your wife? Or do the sanctity of the vows of marriage have no relevance in this matter?

You say you can determine God's will, but we are in fact fallible creatures that are bound to make mistakes. Can you say for certain you can determine God's will if we are not at the level of God's understanding and wisdom? Have there not been reinterpretations and revisions to our knowledge and understanding of the Bible over time?

Fallible does not mean the same thing as illiterate.

The King James Bible is the most widely circulated version of the Bible in the whole world. If it wasn't the correct one, that would mean God wasn't omnipotent.

The fact you didn't write has no relevance onto how you ultimately interpret it and choose to believe and to what degree that would be.

Awww I'm sorry, I don't mean to make you angry. It's all just a lively discussion here after all on a topic that really just screamed for me to jump into.

However you've added nothing new at all. I won't disagree that God is omnipotent but that still has no relevance as to the most widely distributed version means it is the correct one. That makes no sense, it could easily be the most widely distributed for many other reasons instead of being the correct one.

But on that note why were there even any previous versions to begin with? Shouldn't the most direct and likely correct version have always been the original version? Not the revised King James Version?

I DID say that it is the most widely circulated Bible because it is God's Will for such to be the case. Derp derp?

Yes, we do believe in the higher authority: in our Lord (Deuteronomy 13:4, Deuteronomy 13:18, Acts 5:29). The current government is just a fact that we have to accept (Hebrews 13:17, Romans 13:2-6, Mark 12:17) - like it or not.

Care to explain your own words here then? Literally you imply that it has to be correct, because if it wasn't then God is not omnipotent YET you state God is omnipotent. There is no other choice therefore but to conclude from your own words that it is the correct one.

There is a vast difference between saying that the KJV is correct, and saying that it is the most widely circulated Bible because it is correct. Do you even know what a reason is?

For the fifth time, I said:

1. If the most widely circulated Bible is not the one God approves, then He is not omnipotent.
2. The KJV is the most widely circulated Bible in the world.

Therefore:

Either The KJV is the Word of God or He is not omnipotent.

I'm not even sure how to respond to this. I think you need to step back and look at what you're saying here.
