How can the man NOT be an American citizen. He is so ordinarily American there is absolutely NOTHING that recommends him from any other American. If there was guide to ordinary, dime a dozen Americans Pawlenty's face would be in it. In the convenience store freezer of American soft drinks, Pawlenty is a Fresca; that white soda that no one notices but is always there.

Pawlentry has to be American because he can not possibly be anything else.
