Yes, this very day in 1913 a child was born. They called him Richard then for some reason chose "Milhous" as a middle name. Whether that was an impediment to his professional career is not my place to say. The Bible teaches us to drink wines, barley wine for example or wheat or even certain grape wines.

Some people say that wine referred to in The Bible is somehow alcohol free. They do not confide how raw grape juice was prevented from going bad without this essential preservative but the real problem arises in Cana.

John 2:7-11a Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was [he] called the bridegroom, and saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. It's not a problem for Christians of course who follow what's taught in The Bible but for those who preach a different gospel their "alcohol" objection is easily refuted. What aspect of wine prevents those who have well drunk from discerning.—.or not caring about.—.an inferior vintage? According to statistics spouted by wowsers themselves it's the alcohol content! When Jesus transmuted water into wine it was assessed as superior to the stuff having worked its euphoria on the crowd thitherto. For that to have been achieved without. alcohol brings us to an important aspect of Nixon's presidency.

I Timothy 5:22c-23 Keep thyself pure. Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

There had been a period, approximately coinciding with Nixon's schooldays, when purchasing.—.or even making.—.beverages to comply with Biblical teaching in this respect was to be a criminal. God is always consistent. That's how we know which doctrines contradict Him. Nixon identified a different problem, a menace often associated with communism. And Nixon took steps. Unfortunately he also sought harmonious intercourse with China. So swings and roundabouts. But for the alcohol prohibitionists, there's a question they need to answer. If Christ's wine was "better" by standards applied to the first batch served yet was alcohol free, what exactly was in it?
