I think the point these idiots are making is that if you believe in the god of the bible you can't just pick and choose the bits that you like personally.
Some of the bible says nice things about love but a lot of it is about God wanting the LBG community killed or rape victims being killed, or adulterers being killed (in fact a lot of want God wants seems to boil down to something being killed).
It seems to an atheist like myself that most Christians seem to make it up as they go along, deciding which bits of the bible are 'right' and which bits are apocrypha.
Seems to me if one is going to base living their life on the God of the bible one can't then over ride the bible with personal morality.
Either the bible is the word of God or it is not.
I hope that makes sense.

Don't you believe that God has already communicated His wishes, in the Bible?
If God felt there was something that needed clarification, wouldn't He have put it in the Bible, when He directed King James' committee to write it?
