Scared URGENT BIBLE STUDY EMERGENCY!!! - 08-25-2019, 09:26 PM

Hello, fellow True Christians™. Please listen carefully, because this concerns us all. I was reading my Bible to relax after church today and I came across something in the Holy Scripture that was highly disturbing and frightening, moreso than usual. I know that we are all well aware of James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." Now that's pretty straightforward. If you commit one sin, such as speaking out against the wealthy (Ecclesiastes 10:20), as far as God is concerned, you've already committed every single other sin, including murder (Exodus 20:13), sodomy (Leviticus 20:13), and witchcraft (Exodus 22:18). If you repent and tithe, Jesus will forgive you (1 John 1:9, Hebrews 8:12).

You all know this. This is basic Sunday School Damnation 101. The mechanics of sin, damnation, and salvation are well known to LBC. You sin, you repent, you are forgiven, you get into Heaven...

Or do you? If you commit a sin, you are "guilty of all." That's scary, but God in His mercy is willing to forgive such abominable sins as whispering (Proverbs 16:28), getting a tattoo (Leviticus 19:28), or committing treason (2 Timothy 3:4) and wipe the slate clean. But all means "all." And in the comprehensive list of sins, that includes blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:32), which God explicitly says "shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." The one unforgivable sin. And, shockingly, this one is bundled in with all the rest if you commit any sin at all. Thus, according to the Bible, if you commit any sin, you are damned. Period. If you make a long prayer (Matthew 23:14), you have also committed murder, had gay sex, committed treason (all of which is forgivable) and blasphemed against the Holy Spirit (which gets you a one way ticket to HELL!!!!)

Can this be? Is EVERY sin unforgivable? This seems to be what the Bible is telling me, and I'm on the verge of a panic attack. Desperately in need of some explanation from a pastor.

Fearing God more than ever and possibly Hellbound,
Dennis Lukes
