Is there really any need to be quite so explicit, Mister Toole? Remember that Sister Basilissa is, at this time, an unmarried woman!
As to the rest, I'm perfectly sure that her male relatives are on the case, if only in the interests of protecting her own financial assets. I speak from experience here. A few years back, there was some idea that my eldest stepdaughter Faith should marry a more mature True Christian™ man (I shall not name him here) who appeared to be an ideal match, even if Faith was less than enthusiastic. A little investigation showed that this was not God's Holy Will, and she is now contentedly married to a much younger man who has never actually been bankrupt or "lost" a wife in mysterious circumstances.
I am confident that Sister Basilissa's father/brothers will carry out the same due diligence on her behalf.

As your close friend, my dear Joanna, I beg you not to give your approval so quickly to our darling Basilissa . You know all too well there are more suitable, dashing, intelligent, well built, handsome, educated men who would woo her. My um, friend for instance that was mentioned in another thread.
So many here are letting their hearts speak and not their heads.
How are those darling boys?

I know this probably isn’t my place to say as I am just a young 17 year old female with no experience in marriage (except for the one boy I was arranged to marry until he choked himself to death coincidentally a week after that announcement) and without TC status. I will say from reading the posts that it would appear that Pastor Ezekiel himself approves of this marriage. If that isn’t word enough for the marriage to work out then I don’t know what is. Why, didn’t Jesus himself come down to congratulate Pastor Ezekiel on his birthday?
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

That's very nice, dear, but I don't think you and your father have enough security clearance with our DOF for me to arrange such meeting.

Hope you give this some thought.

I'm sure Enrique will like that. I accidentally overheard him on the phone, and if I understood it correctly, he needs contacts in Peru and Columbia to make the flour better, like more purified or something. He just produces it from vast plantations in Chapare and Yungas. I always thought that with flour, you just take the grain and mill it, but I guess there's still too much chaff or something? As a lowly female I really don't understand much regarding business and stuff.

You have a dirty mind, Brother Toole. And of course he has loads of money!

I understand your concern, Brother. The other day, I was confronted by a male acquaintance of mine, and he asked how come I decided on a foreigner, having so many white True Christian™ bachelors at my disposal. But, I don't want to sound too materialistic, but I have a certain status I need to maintain, so a tin tither whose father maybe will leave him some inheritance, just doesn't cut it. I hope you understand.

Exactly! The naysayers are just bursting with envy!
Galatians 5:26 - Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
James 3:16 - For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.

I'm so happy for you Sister! Just be extra thorough investigating your new hubby to ensure he doesn't keep secret wives behind your back. I don't want any surprises ruining this happy occasion for you.

There's an ex-wife (some sort of a local Indian, from the same village as Enrique), but she doesn't dare to come within shooting distance. As an important business man, Enrique has security, and they walk around with guns, and that stops any ex girlfriend of his from approaching. (Don't ask me what kind of guns, I dunno much about guns, but they are big).

Miss Basilissa, I hope I'm not being too intrusive, but you really should look into what kinds of business your fiancee is engaged in. People from rural indigenous backgrounds in Latin America do not become rich overnight without dabbling in some less-than-legal enterprises. I'm not judging, just suggesting that you should know what you are getting into before you get into it.

Dolores,
Please continue to work on Sister Basilissa! This could be a disaster for her when she realizes she could have had the perfect mate but turned him away. Enrique sounds wonderful but what if he falls victim to his messicanity?

This whole pandemic thing made me think about my own mortality. So, we got hitched! Over Zoom, because Enrique is quarantined in Godless South America, and I'm not going to step into that new epicenter of the pandemic (showcasing how much God hates South America), but now that's official, we should be able to speed up his Green Card papers.

Exciting news, indeed! May I offer my congratulations to your new husband? Standard etiquette stresses that one congratulates the gentleman and extend best wishes to the lady.
He has won himself quite the prize and I am sure that he will treat you as the most precious of property. As long as he is a True Christian™, then you will be in safe hands.
We await further good news regarding the birth of a healthy male child. Zoom may prove inadequate to the task of bringing about that particular blessing, but one can take confidence in The Lord and His Strength in overcoming all obstacles.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Oh, at last! What lovely news, Sister. May I extend warmest good wishes to you both, from all the family. I confess that I am curious to know whether you are married under American law, Mexican law - or perhaps both? But this is mere female nosiness and of course it is none of my business.
I do hope that Enrique is soon released from quarantine and able to join you so that you can set about God's important work of procreation.

Oh, my heavenly stars! Dear Sister Basilissa, this is just the most glorious news. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that you and your beloved Enrique are married -- finally! Goodness, it seems like you have waited for so long for this to take place, and now, you have the blessing of the Almighty on your union.
Mark 10:9 "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
Now, I have heard a lot lately about this Zoom thingy, but I'm afraid I know nothing about it. Is it one of those computer gadget "app" things that the younger people like? If so, I think I understand the concept, of being able to see each other over a screen. Dear, if I am grasping this correctly, are you quite sure that your marriage is legal if you were not in the same room together, at the same time, with an officiating minister? For example, how did the signing of the marriage registry take place if you were not with each other? I do hope that there shall be no hindrances once all of the paperwork is sorted and filed away. And, perhaps, once Enrique has joined you here in the blessed , you might even wish to have a ceremony of blessing, conducted by our beloved .
And, please, do be sure to let us know when all of this is settled. I shall be more than happy to arrange a bridal shower for you, along with the Ladies of . All the best to you & Enrique for many, many years of matrimonial happiness, Dear.
(Mrs.) Isabella White

Of course, it was I who zoomed the nuptials! I'm sure you'll be begetting in no time. In fact, Enrique's wedding tithe arrived today by bank transfer and I'm happy to tell you that it had exactly as many zeros as we'd agreed! Praise Jesus etc. You can tell him that the cigars also arrived by courier and he'll be welcome any time to deliver the other you-know-what package to the Flint mansion. Preferably sooner than later. My houseboys will be at his service as we agreed. I'm sure that I'll have a long and fruitful relationship in Christ with your hubby. Please tell him also that the photos and the documents that he asked about are in a very very safe place, not in the Flint Mansion, and no-one will have access to them as long as them cigars and the you-know-what keep on comin'!

Wow. I'm speechless. Pastor Zeke and Jesus congratulated me on my wedding?! What's next, am I to expect a note from our Godly President himself?!
Or at least from his lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Each time he's on tv Enrique smiles and says, and I quote, "he behaves and talks as if he's been sniffing a lot of my product." I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it's a praise of the Godly tv lawyer of our Godly President.

And not only a note from the President, but also one from George Floyd (decd). After heaping posthumous praise on the President's job creation statistics, I'm sure he will find joy in your nuptial notice.

58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring k upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

OK... But this means that that special package of Enrique containing you-know-what now has to be XXX(X)L. I'm sitting here in the Situation Room next to Donnie sipping the 1953 Mouton Rothschild and he says it's OK to send you his congrats in the form of this new artwork of him. Now get back to tithing and stop the hysterics.
