I've been on the phone talking with good Christian Mayors in Texas. They are worried.
Probably all here have read the Governor of Texas signed a bill which basically outlaws abortion. What the Governor did not do was provide a big budget for monitoring women who might try to sneak around the law. Women will likely take abortion pills and then claim they had a miscarriage.
It will take a small army of enforcers to stop this. Texas will need to require doctors to register every pregnant woman in a statewide data base. Then enforcers will monitor these women, watch their mail for abortion pills and letters from women's lib groups and keep track of where they go and who they visit with. When a formerly pregnant women claims a miscarriage, her computer will need to be inspected for on line advice and abortion pill purchases.
Without many more volunteers it will be hard to monitor thousands of women. I'm thinking we in Freehold could offer to travel to Texas to help out.
