Dear Miss Jennings: I so hope you won't mind my commenting, but it seems to me that I do detect a tone of rebellion in your message. I must point out that the blessed
is very clear about the role of the woman, and this starts right with the beginning pages of this glorious Book, as you shall see here.
Genesis 2:18, 21-24:
18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Now, then, to reject the implicit design of the
Almighty can be only described as a form of anarchy. To go against that which the
has planned shows a complete lack or regard for
most glorious intentions for us.
Why, I suppose that's not uncommon with some women, such as those feministic types, or those with lezbean tendencies (and, most assuredly, I hope that that neither of these unfortunate conditions apply to you.)
Furthermore, your tone here shows a great deal of aggression (and resentment), and it must be pointed out how the
feels about such things, including strong-willed, overly-vocal women:
I Timothy 2:11,12:
11 Let the woman learn in
silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to
be in silence.
It is my prayer that you will
and learn the blessed teachings of
and how these lessons apply to your life. Certainly, you are in the right place for expert guidance, as the
servants of the
-- here at
-- are only too happy to help you on your way to be freed from the shackles of sin.
