Baptist Preacher repeatedly raped, media blames victim -
08-23-2011, 10:27 PM
Unmarried, unsupervised women have their way with Baptist Pastor
I was under the impression the law, or some type of journalistic best practices, precluded publicly identifying the victims of sexual assault, but I guess that doesn't apply if the victim is a white male Christian, as they've plastered this poor man's face all over the Internet.
Quote:
(CBS/AP) LADSON, S.C. - South Carolina pastor Dale Richardson has been charged with kidnapping and raping several women at gunpoint, including two of them in a trailer behind his church. He is also accused of kidnapping a fourth who was not sexually assaulted.
According to an incident report, on a Saturday afternoon in July, the preacher picked up a woman and gave her a ride. When the 20-year-old tried to exit out of the car, Richardson allegedly pulled a gun, bound her hands, covered her head and took her to the gray-blue trailer home behind the Free Will Baptist Church in Ladson.
The report also said he later dropped the woman in a wooded area and threatened to shoot her if she turned around. The woman was able to identify Richardson from his picture on the church website, which also displays a short biography detailing how he became a Christian and then a pastor.
Meanwhile, Richardson has been charged with two other similar sexual assaults, both of which occurred last year. He is accused of bringing one of those women to the church trailer. The third woman claims she was raped in a wooded area outside nearby Summerville, a community which is 20 miles northwest of Charleston. He is also charged with kidnapping a fourth woman.
During a hearing on Thursday, Richardson said he understood the charges against him but said very little. He was denied bond.
|
I don't put 100% of the blame on the women who took turns violating this poor man, mind you. I suspect this never would have happened to him if his walk with Jesus had not been corrupted by the taint of Moonie-in-disguise Jerry Falwell:
Quote:
The church website says Richardson became the pastor of the church on June 9, 2010. He also graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia which is the college founded by evangelical preacher Jerry Falwell. Richardson has a wife and two grown daughters.
The South Carolina Free Will Baptist State Association has suspended Richardson's preaching credentials pending the outcome of the investigations because "the misconduct alleged against him is forbidden by God."
|
Really though, I feel this story serves as a sobering, cautionary tale about what can happen when the men in a community shirk their responsibility to act as overseers of their daughters and in so doing fail to protect their church:
Quote:
Acts 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

I agree with you not putting 100% of the blame on the women; although they seduced and manipulated this man to the point it was sickening, I don't think any good Christian would even be near such harlots.
This is a good lesson to him and I think he should be let off with a lesson on how to recognize sick women and how to use pepper spay on them if they get too near. I hope he makes better choices in the future.

I'm going to have to disagree with both of you here, and frankly I think its quite disheartening to see you both doing something called blaming the VICTIM here.
Rape is ALWAYS wrong (except in very specific situations where God endorses it, read Judges 21, Numbers 31 and Deuteronomy 21 for more info!) and trying to look for ways to justify it based on the actions of the victim is also wrong. Now, granted, you are correct that if this Pastor Richardson was a True Christian™ instead of a follower of Falwell's liebral perversions of Biblical teaching, then this horrible incident would not have happened. However, that simply does not mean that those wanton sluts weren't 100% responsible for raping this poor man, and implying otherwise not only harms rape victims like Pastor Richardson, but is also a tacit approval of the slutriarchy that will allow these harlots to get off scot-free for this.
Now Brothers, I know you may not have thought of this at first, but please keep in mind the kind of subliminal slutriarchal thinking you may be indulging in if you don't place 100% of the blame where it belongs here: the women!

Extremely true. I suppose it's like blaming a victim of theft that it's their fault for not locking their door. It's a sad culture to get wrapped up in and you are truly a True Christian © woman to realize this and not instantly side with the women because God created you both as the same gender. This man needs help and healing so he can get along with his life.
The man has learnt a lesson that, although true, is very traumatizing and I hope that he will pray, the courts will free him and he'll be spiritedly healed, he will praise the Lord and become a True Christian.

This is exactly why I always have security travel with me. I don't want any of these skanky little trollops trying to have their way with me.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I know that usually things are black and white, but in this case I am forced to agree with both of you, Isaac and Lycia. We should not blame the poor male victims of lesbian gang related crime, but all men must be prepared for the likelihood of being raped in this way.

I suppose next you'll be saying the poor man was asking for it by being rich and successfully dressed. Trollops are known to throw themselves at richly dressed mature men. Does that make it right?
Hang on - for once you have it the right way round - I apologise.

Amen Pastor! This is why I admire Moammar Gadhaffi so much. He always has 40 virgin female Amazon warriors guarding him from wanton sluts and rapists. I can only afford 3 on a regular basis, 4 when I travel to Europistan, and I have to spring for 5 if I'm going to the frenchie part.

You admire a Muslim who hides behind a bunch of little girl's skirts when he's threatened?
That's not like you, Brother.
