What's the Most Ridiculous Thing You've Heard an Atheist Say? -
03-29-2019, 03:16 AM
The most ridiculous thing I've heard recently is the "stone dilemma." An atheist professor wrote about it in the NY Times. It goes like this:
God cannot be all powerful. If God could create a stone so heavy it could not be lifted and God could not lift it, God could not be all powerful. And, if God could lift it, God is not powerful enough to make a stone that cannot be lifted.
This is ridiculous because there are no internal inconsistencies in God's word. I'm LMAO at the "stone dilemma."

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

That's a good one! The atheists always go on about relativistic time. We know God is aware of everything.
Accepting (for the sake of argument) that time slows down to zero at the speed of light, enabling God to be aware of everything in the universe at once, how could He be considered to have location? And without location, how could anything move? Or not move?
I, however, do not move at the speed of light. Say if God were 500,000,000 light years away and I blasphemed against The Holy Ghost, would He only find out ˝ a billion years later? I'd be in Heaven by then until one day BANG! God gets the news and I'd be transferred to another place? These things are simultaneous for someone not having location in space/time but not simultaneous for me. The atheists know this is an implication of their own theory so in order to propose their ridiculous conundrum they need to abandon their own principles!
The next Most Ridiculous Thing You've Heard an Atheist Say? has got to be

If God created the universe, who created God?

Well the most ridiculous thing they say is "I am not sure there is a God", like the existence ofGod depended on whether one believes in Him or not.
But the most outrageous thing they say is "God is made up by humans". Like we can invent a God, sustain it over the years, with a large mass of people knowing that it doesn't exists, just keeping it to fit the masses calmed down and waiting for an afterlife. At the same time, this supposedly gives justification for the powers that be to do whatever in the name of God.
It sounds conspiranoic, doesn't it? It is.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Once atheist threw a fit at me once, and stopped his foot and screamed "How could you! How could you believe in talking snakes, and miracles and all kinds of things that so clearly could NEVER happen in real life!? HOW, YOU STUPID LADY?"
And then he spat at me and ran away. I wore that spittle for the rest of the day as a badge of my persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 - 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
I showed it to friends and neighbors as proof of my witness to my faith in Lord Jesus. One might say if I saw this violent young wayward man again, I'd turn the other cheek and say, We are all but weak mortals, my dear, your saliva makes me strong and you more weak, for you shall see, spat from the mouth of Satan, my faith in Christ shall render me immune to your Godless cooties.

Goodness me, there are so many instances of silly statements and horrible attacks by atheists, but I do recall a recent one where a group of non-believing women decided they should let the entire world witness their breastfeeding times at a public rally. They said it was their right and duty as women to do this in public (as part of the “it’s my body and I’ll do what I want” attitude), which is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. We had heard of the plans for this stunt, so we decided they needed to hear the Word of God, and we staged a counter-protest. We had signs printed with Scripture verses to remind them of the consequences of their brazen sin, such as this one: Hosea 9:14 - "Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.” Then, they started shouting at us with the usual “prove God exists”, as if they couldn’t see the truth in plain sight! More silliness!

I haven't had many interactions with openly blasphemous Atheists (mostly due to the fact that I rarely leave the homestead), but I remember my time as one as a teenager. I believed in the usual Satanist things like equal rights and gay marraige, but the stupidest one still haunts me.
I was entirely convinced that the earth was round. I was so caught up with that backwards ideology that I had subscribed to the outdated belief of a globe earth. Looking back, I can't help but feel embarrassed. Was I not using my eyes? Did I look out at the horizon without recognizing its flatness? Just goes to show how education systems even back in the day were infested by all sorts of satanist sodomites spewing their stupid lies to our susceptible children.
NOTE: Despite similarities in likeness and name, I am NOT famous Evangelist speaker Jack Redmond. That is a DIFFERENT Jack Redmond.

And then billions of years BEFORE He was invented into existence God created the universe? You, the universe that needed to exist so He could be invented? I've heard about "affirming the consequent" but honestly, do they ever stop and listen to themselves?

No, Sister, I'm afraid they don't listen. They would do well to just accept three basic facts:

Easily refuted.
The Bible tells us that God is omnipotent (Rev 19:6); He can do all things (Mt 19:26). Most apologists attack the stone dilemma on the grounds that it is illogical to ask whether God can do something that He cannot do, or they will try to limit God's omnipotence by saying that He can't do anything that is against His nature or will. Both of these counterarguments are based on false premises. God is perfectly capable of doing things that He cannot do. For example, God can lie (Eze 14:9; cf. Heb 6:18) even though deception is against His nature (Jn 14:6; Jn 16:13).
The key to answering the stone dilemma lies in God's ability to limit His limitless power. Take two examples from Scripture. Christ emptied Himself of His divine power and glory when He became man (Phil 2:5-8). And when Jacob wrestled with God, God was unable to prevail against him and had to ask to be released (Gen 32:22-32). Clearly, God was limiting His strength, for "the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Cor 1:25b).
God could make weightless speck of dust that He couldn't lift or an infinitely heavy boulder that He could lift.
What else have you got, atheists?

Well said, Mrs White. Atheists want us to believe they are right because reason, logic and evidence suggest that there are no grounds for believing in God. But how do they know that reason, logic and evidence are to be trusted? By reason, logic and evidence! This is known as circular reasoning, or "begging the question", a formal fallacy. They only appeal to the rules of logic when it's convenient for them.

That about sums it up, Sister. I call it the impotence paradox.

The most ridiculous thing that I ever heard an atheist say was,
"Good day."
'Cause it's never a good day to be an atheist.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Another ridiculous thing I've often heard those mocking atheists say is, "the miracles never happened because they are impossible". They will regret those words when they watch the Lord turn them into living fireballs!

A "journey" out of materialism -

Have you ever asked one what "spiritual" means? It even beats an EMO talking about pop music! Probably best to have some sandwiches once they get going it's quite a lengthy performance and a drink. At one of their "art festivals" there will even be some workshopping opportunities to avoid. They're supposed to be spiritual (I think) but I've never taken part in one. From what I can make out it's a group of adults sitting in a circle doing pre-school activities which I detested when I was 3 and had learned to look like I was doing something else by age 4 and it wasn't spiritual then and I bet it still isn't.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. They love to talk about their "journey" out of materialism as though anyone would be interested in their self-centred outlook or how it had changed. Nevertheless when they get depressed they'll turn to psychic healers, purchase "crystals" at excessively inflated prices to channel energy (if you're looking for an encore, just ask them what "energies" means) and zone out from reality altogether. Their means of achieving this strikes me as the veriest acme of materialism.

Only once, and then more for want of anything else to say than out of actual curiosity. I zoned out, obviously, but even so it's not a mistake I'll make again. The young man concerned had, like so many of them, been on a long trip to New Zealand (what is it about New Zealand?) which entailed him leaving a well-paid job in financial journalism and selling his car and his London apartment to fund his folly. The money lasted him about 6 months and he returned jobless, broke and homeless without even a car to sleep in. He was last heard of teaching interpretive dance to lesbians in Bristol.

Another ridiculous thing they say is "Enlightenment" which they apparently find in India. I haven't been to New Zealand but was in Delhi recently. Nothing which happens there has any appearance of enlightenment. Nor in Bombay. Then they go up into the mountains for more enlightenment.

God doesn't exist because you can't prove that he exists.
This what they usually ask and I am getting sick of answering it, but then again it's their belief so instead of having an argument I am trying to answer it in a polite way.

That's incomplete. You can't prove that God exists to their satisfaction. Explain calmly, and with small, simple words, that you accept that.
Then, invite them to try to prove that He doesn't exist, to your satisfaction. The ensuing display of scientific, historic, and philosophic ignorance can be entertaining, indeed.
