September 3, 2017, is the National Day of Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Harvey -
09-03-2017, 05:31 PM
...please DO NOT forget that!
People in Texas do not need our donations, they do not need our volunteer work, they do not need anything else but our prayers.
Our prayers will make the water and mold go away, and miraculously rebuild destroyed homes, as well as miraculously fix spoiled food and contaminated water, and even replace lost income. Just think, if you were a victim of the hurricane, with all of your properties destroyed, what would you rather receive: a donation or a prayer?!
So please, instead of reaching for your checkbook and going to https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey... just close your eyes and pray for the victims.
It's at no cost for you, and it will make you feel sooo much better about yourself. It's the best way to be charitable - instead of giving away your hard-earned money or wasting your precious time volunteering, just donate a prayer. Quick, effortless, GRATIS, and you'll be done helping victims of the hurricane.
Pray!!! I know you are still thinking about donating to https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey but: don't do it... don't do it... DON'T DO IT!!! President Trump ( ) wants you to pray instead, so do what your President wants you to do!

I'm praying that the mold, mildew, fungus, and general rot of floating food, garbage, and dead animals grows and increases by leaps and bounds, and by this suffering can mankind in Texas know the Love of Christ from whom all Blessings Flow!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

The Secretary of State for Texas also agrees that prayer, not practical assistance, is the way to help people.
Following in Trump's footsteps and displaying tremendous faith in Our Lord, (such an inspiration, my eyes tear as I write), Rolando Pablos turned down an offer of bedding and personal hygiene products, as well as the hands on assistance of skilled labor in aiding the soggy citizens of Houston.
He did this because the offer came from Godless Commie Canadians and offending The Lord at this juncture is the LAST thing Texas needs!
He was willing to accept prayers from our northern neighbors, in the hopes that there a few godly souls among them.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

Please do not get confused! Texas, particularly the area's hardest hit by hurricane Harvey needs donations, volunteers, and prayers. While my home was not damaged, my neighbor's homes were, and they would like to receive both donations and prayer. I completely understand if you aren't able to donate more than prayer, that is better than nothing of course, but do not discourage those who want to do more.
2 Corinthians 9:7 "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
Matthew 5:42 "Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away."
Even our President Donald Trump is donating a million dollars of his own personal money to help, God Bless him!

This is actually incorrect, many unreliable sources have been spreading this story, especially in social media. The Texas Secretary of State redirected, not rejected, Canada's offer to the Texas Department of Public Safety's Office of Emergency Management because their office does not have emergency management authority.

Thank you for your clarification, dear.
Can you give an example of how a prayer helped your neighbor? Was his furniture slightly less moldy than the furniture of the atheists affected by the flood?

Why yes! I prayed constantly day and night for my home, as well as the homes of my neighbors, we live near a creek that overflooded, I was certain my home would surely flood, but it didn't because of the power of prayer! While they got minimal damage, and I received none, the ridiculously bigger homes across the city received several feet of water in their homes yet there is no creek nearby! I believe God redirected the water to that side of town while sparing me and those around me. Not to mention that in the coastal bend of Texas the
hardest hit area is Harris county, a notoriously blue county. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I'm confused. Could a man of God who wanted these items not pray for and actually know how to receive and distribute these items? Are you under the impression the Lord thy God is constrained by Red Tape in some way? Could the God who burst forth water from a rock at request somehow not manage to get food and clothing through still water in your opinion?

This is actually very simple. I certainly believe these items were prayed for and received, and simply directed to the appropriate department for collection and future distribution. I am not under the impression that the Lord was constrained by red tape, not at all. Prayers were prayed for relief and the prayers were answered. I am simply saying some un-reputable media sites misconstrued the redirection of much appreciated donations to the appropriate locale as flat out denying them.

Then you're not paying attention to what's happening around you. You're unaware of the particular people who could have used certain items last week, not when bureaucracy finally gets around to it. In your cozy world of relative safety, you're ignorant of the physical wants of those thousands of souls the Lord is trying to touch, even now in their rebellion.

How interesting that for you Jesus works precisely the way an organization would operate without the supernatural influence of Jesus. When things work out, you can say your prayers worked. When things don't, you can say they're working out in a different way. How very convenient for you own sense of emotional security, but what you're talking about is functionally no different from a world without a God. What kind of Christian doesn't believe God is Who He says He is?

Oh. So basically what you said is, that the people whose homes were damaged deserved it because they didn't pray hard enough (or worse even, not at all). It was all God's Wrath against the sinners.
Which reinforces my original statement that all Texas needs is prayer, not donations. Only prayer can turn hearts of these sinners whose homes were damaged, to God.

How did you get that I don't believe God is who He says He is? All my posts are quite the opposite. God has been a magnificent and glorious God before this ordeal, during, and continues to be after.

I did not deny that they need prayer, they need donations as well, and like I said before if you can't give volunteer time or donations because you are unable to, or because it isn't in you to, and prayers are the only thing you are able offer, that is magnificent as well! Thank you for praying for Houston and it's surrounding areas. God Bless!

My husband read over everything that was written and told me I had to excuse myself from this. He said that us 3 women were too feeble minded to understand the complexities of God and there is no point talking to other women about it. He said if I want to learn anything, read posts by men, not women. He compared us to 3 headless chickens trying to cluck. He said we all need some discipline, and that he prays your husbands discipline you good for trying to think and comprehend things that are beyond our comprehension. I must go receive my discipline for pointlessly arguing with pointless women. I am also not allowed to read nor comment anything written by a woman on this site because women are stupid and mindless. So good day.

I don't believe you. I think you're offering a ridiculous excuse because you're embarrassed. The God you worship is one of your imagination, not of the Holy Bible.
Calm down, take a deep breath. We can help.

No they don't. You just said that other people got flooded because you prayed so you weren't flooded. That means these other people deserved to get their homes flooded and their possessions destroyed. That means God wanted their possessions destroyed. Why should I do against God's Will and donate for them to replace what God Himself destroyed?

Well, if your husband is so smart, let him answer the question I posed above.
