I'm not questioning the wisdom of the pastors, this is an honest question. I mean, women have their own issues. Might as well give them a seperate place to discuss them. Do you really want threads about m*nstr*ti*n or b*s*ms in places where Christian children might run across them?

I just don't think that women are smart enough to make any headway on their issues by discussing them online. Logic isn't their strong point you know. However, if there were a serious need to discuss doilies and clothes ironing, then you might have a case.

Why not set up a special area here in the forum for the ladies, and confine them to it during that time? We'd be free of the rantings and ravings of bloated and cranky PMS-ing females, with their mood swings ranging from sweet to sad to sensual to strident. They could whine and complain as much as they like (and believe me, they like!) without risking insulting a Pastor and getting ~~the rod~~ in trouble!

We could call it . . . wait for it . . . Virtual Menstruation Shack!

I prefer the existing system, where menfolk are expected to keep their property away from the computer during that time. Actually, could someone remind me why it is that we let women use the internet in the first place?

If you ask my opinion, I think this forum would benefit with greater diversity, multi-cultural sensitivities, and tolerance of those with differing viewpoints. The main problem I find with the Landover church (and forums) is that it upholds the idea of the White Christian American Heterosexual Male as the only authority on whom can speak about issues, while the women are rendered second-class citizens. Please hear me out. I propose the following additions to the forums...

Feminist Women's Forum: "I am Woman, hear me TYPE!" (No Men Allowed)
African-American Forum: "Darker the Berry, Sweeter the Juice" (No Whites Allowed)
Gay/Lesbian Rights Forum: "We are Gay and that's O-kay!" (No heterosexuals allowed)
Communist and Socialist political theory dicussion board: "Workers of the World, unite!" (No fascist capitalists allowed)
Atheists Forum: "We Don't Need No Superstition. We Don't Need No Thought Control." (No Christians allowed)

And so forth. By promoting tolerance and diversity, I would imagine that Landover could triple its membership base! Instead of reinforcing the hegemony and imperialistic fascist idea of allowing only one school of thought on these boards and thereby creating an environment of entropy, we could reach out to oppressed minorities and give them equal time to promote their (more valid) viewpoints.
