I don't know what's a bigger slap in God's face, the black bishop or the lesbian bishop.

The perfectly ghastly Bishop of Rochester has at last admitted defeat and started the process of turning his cathedral into a theme park, beginning with a crazy-golf course in the nave:
Anyway, the good news is that this seems to have really annoyed quite a lot of catlicks, who are saying they want "their" cathedral (established 604 AD) back. Lots of luck with that, you wafer-munching pervs!
It isn't the first time the CofE has pulled a super-bizarro stunt. Last year, one of their more modern cathedrals (Peterborough, established 654 AD) displayed a fake spacecraft which allegedly took some Brit called Tim to the space station. Nobody believed it, but they went along to pay and gawp anyway.
Anyway, the cathedrals are obviously badly strapped for cash so if Pastor Zeke wants some fancy medieval real-estate in the soon-to-be-51st state then now's probably the time to pick up a bargain.

It occurred to me Landover Baptist could convert is into a bowling alley. Maybe, "Roll a Strike for Jesus" would make us some money.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

It's a shame that you aren't in line to become king, Mr. Mayor.
Just think: you'd head the Church of England and be able to once and for all wipe out all the heresies that have made England and the entire UK a cesspool of Catholicism and Church of Englandism. You could have Prince William as your interpreter so he wouldn't be totally left out. You know those English talk funny and spell words very weirdly.
I'm going to pray about this. Don't be surprised if God puts a crown on your head before the Glory.
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

Kent’s most unusual adventure golf course will be at Rochester Cathedral this summer. Created in partnership with the Rochester Bridge Trust, the Medieval Nave will be filled with a bridge-themed adventure golf course. The course has been designed to encourage young people to learn more about the engineering behind bridges.
An opportunity to learn while having fun The Revd. Rachel–Phillips, Canon for Mission and Growth at Rochester Cathedral, said: “For over 1,400 years, Rochester Cathedral has been a centre of learning for the community. By temporarily installing an educational adventure golf course we aim to continue that mission, giving people the opportunity to learn while they take part in a fun activity, in what for many might be a previously un-visited building. “The course forms the centrepiece of a ‘Building Bridges’ theme running through the summer. As well as the physical bridge which has stood over the River Medway since Roman times, the invisible but equally historic links between the Cathedral and the surrounding community are also bridges of a kind; we hope that, while playing adventure golf, visitors will reflect on the bridges that need to be built in their own lives and in our world today.” The course – which is designed and paid for by Rochester Bridge Trust and constructed by HM Adventure Golf – is made up of nine holes, each accompanied by a model of a different type of bridge. It includes the original Roman bridge at Rochester, and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at Dartford, all of which is accompanied by information for further learning. Andrew Freeman, Operations Manager at the Rochester Bridge Trust, added: “We are always looking for new ways to engage with young people and inspire them to take an interest in bridges and civil engineering. Joining forces with the Cathedral to set up this educational activity within such a stunning setting is the ideal opportunity to reach out to the community and get families and young people thinking about bridges while they have fun.

I think you can see where I stopped reading but just in case I've inserted a yellow card because this is an Anglican cathedral and they could have come up with a new meaning for the word "reverend" (although I doubt it) rather than it being a voguish heresy directly contradicting God.
In their “WATCH THE SET UP OF OUR ADVENTURE GOLF COURSE IN 45 SECONDS!” time-lapse video I noticed something suggesting a well known desire of Romish heretics to reunite with the English schism. Whatever function this little kiosk has in the novelty golf travesty is immaterial because however jolly they make it look cannot detract from its similarity to a confessional. Once the idea of kiosks is reintroduced it's a short step to full blown Anglo-catholicism and reunification with the pope himself. Frank must be cackling his head off!
Off to the left (in their video) I noticed something else and—not wishing to spoil anyone's day with cackling popes—have included a cropped graphic [LEFT] of what looks like a large positiv organ or perhaps a small chamber organ? Very difficult to find any information on their site.
There's also a reed organ (harmonium) design using scaled pipes as resonators mounted in a similar position but this doesn't look like one of those. The pipes are too prominent. The best I could manage was a few photographs with no description [BELOW] and I was wondering if any more information is available locally?
It's not an instrument I'm ever likely to play. Firstly, I spend very little time in Kent and secondly, under no circumstances will I contribute in any way to venues containing idols. And this joint is stuffed with the things. Occasionally I play a lovely old tracker action instrument in a Lutheran chapel, but only on weekdays. It's well maintained, beautiful tone, hence my curiosity.
Here are the pictures I mentioned; by clicking a slightly clearer version is available. Any comments appreciated.

We were discussing the Church of England and, more specifically, its ghastly bishops over family supper this evening when my eldest boy suddenly said: Do you remember the Bishop of Southwark, mom? "I'm the Bishop of Southwark, it's what I do!"
It's astonishing that Luke (15) should remember this: he was only just 3 years old at the time. It just goes to show that even young Christians are very aware of the sins of others, if not always of their own. But it led to the question of whatever happened to the Bishop of Southwark: at the time, there were calls for him to "resign" (i.e. be fired).
Would anyone care to guess? Yes, his drunken antics were ignored - I expect they claimed he was just tired and emotional - and he remained in office, staggering around and breathing the fumes of cheap Irish wine over his hapless congregation while continuing to steal their children's toys, entirely in violation of Romans 13:13, until he retired on his 70th birthday, a little over three years later.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear! Not to be outdone by the Bishop of Rochester's crazy golf, the Dean of Norwich cathedral (a woman!) has now installed a helter-skelter.
To take a positive view, at least it blocks out most of that hideous stained-glass window.
Oh, and Sister Mitza, you asked for comments on that organ in the Lutheran chapel. This is not so much a comment as a question. Is it actually made of didgeridoos? I ask because the pipes look very - er - (ab)original.

Here's the problem – ornate architecture ranges from quite detailed to obsessively intricate, especially in medieval cathedrals. I doubt if anything more foul could be found outside an 18th century Parisian bordello. To observe these supreme examples of the stonemason's art viewing at close range is essential. Even better with a large magnifying glass. Indeed without such fine chisel work there'd be very little to distinguish a cathedral's roof from a merry-go-round's horse. And this is what they want you to see.
But the viewing platform is some 30 feet away from the roof. I assume that means looking straight up and so (being generous) even a 10-foot-tall person would still be 20 feet away from the detail being admired, more if a particular feature required diagonal viewing unless the whole contraption hovered around on magnets which seems unlikely, so rather than a magnifying glass what you'd need would be a telescope. And if you had a telescope you wouldn't need a helter-skelter.
Thank you for taking an interest in the Lutheran chapel. It has a full sized pipe organ of German manufacture but I haven't visited the area recently. It's about 100 years old.
The positiv organ [CROPPED STILL FROM VIDEO ATTACHED] would be much older than that and is off to the left from the turquoise kiosk [ARROWED (below)] in Rochester Cathedral. The three pictures were close-ups from another source but without any information or captions; anyone passing may be able to see a plaque or something indicating a date. Unusually, no mention is made of it in the Cathedral's blurb, not even on their organ page or at least I couldn't find anything. Perhaps they're ashamed of it – but nowhere near to the degree of a Lutheran playing the didgeridoo. In fact had they done so they'd have stopped being Lutherans first.
